I give Huskey a write-in vote for MA Governor, based on his football pool picking prowess.

most likely, Huskey would make a good governor for MA ... he'd certainly be a far better choice than your Demo candidate

On my way soon... at home taking care of my wife, so I have plenty of time to get there today.
But geez... here I am in CA and we have the worst of two worlds to chose from for Gov. Ughh! Guess I gotta go party lines on this one...

During the recent campaigns, every time I see the word "governor", I think of the HdM cigar in X.

Maybe this belongs in the "You know you're addicted to cigars when..." thread.

Going after work.Gotta go with Simon, course I'd probably even vote for Nader if it meant getting rid of that doofus Davis.

I gotta agree JJ ... although Simon appears to be a potential doofus, Davis is a proven, certifiable one ... problem with a third party candidate is that they are not viable and voting for them can result in the sort of unintended gaffe we saw at the federal level in '92 ... turned out, a vote for Perot was a vote less for the prior George Bush and in a nutshell, that's how we got Clinton ...

maybe Clinton was elected/re-elected in '92/'96 because the GOP didn't have viable candidates, hmmmm?

Both then-President Bush and Senator Dole had viability ... Clinton was narrowly elected in '92 due to Perot siphoning off a great many votes that without Perot, would have gone to then President Bush ... his re-election in '96 came as a result of apparent good times ... irrespective of which party is in office, the voters rarely rock the boat in good times.

Hey Steve, I'm in Orange County.
Ok, off now to vote. Chalk one more up for Simon. Maybe he'll win by "Davis Default"!
lol
Later,
Jeff

Of course I voted!!!! In California we do not have much choose from in the race for the State Capitol building! Either one of the two (Davis-D & Simon R) are dumb, stupid, crooked and just not much to vote for! I believe Rick and I will both agree on this political statement!

Danno, thanks for your vote but I'll stay here in
Central Ohio where I am surrounded by Republicans. The only Democrats around here are too lazy to vote -- except for mayor every so often. Hey SteveS, when are you going to get California straightened out. Clark

The SF Bay Area is the political polar opposite of how you describe your part of Ohio ... We've lived here long enough that our kids who were just about to begin school when we moved in, are now the age I was when we arrived ... we're in the burbs where there is about a 50/50 overall mix ... heavy Repub in some areas, but not many ... in SF itself and in the vast majority of the East Bay, politics are so liberal that even your average Democrat is considered a conservative ... Berkeley is the worst in the nation and is so far to the left it's earned the nickname "Peoples Republic of Berkeley" ...

It's daunting, to say the least. I empathize with Rick's position here on the board, because in this area, I'm as much like the Maytag repairman as he is on the board ... it's bad enough that I feel most times as if it's a waste of time to vote, because I know I'm spitting into the wind, but I vote anyway because there are guys who've fought and died (and others who're currently doing so) for me to have the right to do so ... how, for example, could I tell my son I didn't take the time to vote after he took time to serve as he did in the military?

Staighten out California ?? ... in my dreams sir, in my dreams.

Do they even allow the American Flag in Berkeley anymore? I know they made the Fire Department remove them from their trucks. Hell, the Costa Mesa Fire Department not only has the American Flag decals, they fly the real thing off of their trucks!!! God and Patriotism is alive in Costa Mesa CA!!!

Damn Skippy I got out and tossed in my two cents worth.. allot of good it did tho... the State I live in Lost it all... someone was speaking about not going to be able to Fish any longer.. Come January 1 we will lose all those rights and more.. Hunting, new Gov wants it where you pay $500.00 to carry a FOID card.. god knows about the hunting Licsences... and also wants to put a ban on Lead Sinkers for fishing, is totally against Bow Hunting...and in General the New Gov and the New AG both are pro abortion.. which is funny because they don't want you to be able to shoot little Bambie's But its ok for a person to get an Abortion and suck the brains out of a Living Baby...Just doesn't add up!!!!
Hell I even told the Mrs. we're Moving Like to the Republican State of Florida!!! or maybe across the lines to Missouri was just a Jesture but now it's becoming a real thought...LMAO!!! what a shame!!!
