Great pic. Thanks guys. I was the first HOTM I've done, so I figured I better get started on the right foot, plus when I met hombre in person during the holidays he gave me and some friends some cigars, so I owed him!

Shump will have to answer the details. He told me the wood he used but I don't remember.

My head was spinning from the coolness at the time.

nnightmar- not much for details. I wish it was spanish cedar, but none of the lumber places carried it around here. If I had the patience I could have bought some on-line. So I used poplar, nice light colored wood with no odor. I bought a few 4"x2' lengths cut them up, dremmeled a bit. It was a tight squeeze. I stole some hinges and stuff from another box, did't work out so well, I had to glue them on. I used a wood burning tool to do the rest of the work.

On a side note, seeing I can't find any Oust battery operated fans at my local grocerer for my coolidor. I am going to start fabricating a small battery operated fan out of spanish cedar and burn a designes in it. I am going to install a low power digital timer so the fan isn't on all the time. I will have pics up when I finish it. Should be great for coolidors and lg humi's.

That's some great work on that box bro, and a very creative HOTM bomb!!

...and this fan idea you got here is pretty kick ass as well. Once you finish yours, and you've worked out the kinks and what not....i'd love to get a couple of these if you're willing. Buy or trade...whatever, LMK.

You thinking yours would have to run on the D batteries like the Oust fans do, or you gonna have it run off a smaller size??

The prototype will be two C-cell batteries. The electric timer should make it last a while maybe have the fan come on for ten minute for every hour. That's the bugs I am going to have to work out, it will probaly require two timers, si I may have to 15 minutes on 15 minutes off, probably will have to be equal vaulues. We''ll see! Pray
