They seem to be different than the Cain "F". Description says "all Nic Puro Ligero".BigGrin

I still do not get the reference to Daytona...Think

I guess when the line finally comes out we'll hear why it has the name. I'll be very impressed if they can top the "F"! But I'm always game to try something new!

Not even close to the Cain F. I had an opportunity to try one last night. One dimensional, very mild, too mild for me. Crying

Sir, with all due respect. Your cause is worthy. Your threadjacking, and guiltrips on folks are rude. I'm afraid this will hurt your worthy cause. Just sayin.

#23^ Well, I would compare the richness to a Macadoodle or the like. For me, just not what you would expect from a Cain cigar, compared to the F.

Mind you, I do not want to prevent anyone from trying one. I only purchased one and may pick up a few more on the next visit and give them another chance.

I wonder if it isn't because Sam isn't developing the smokes any more the blend is off. It is really unusual that the Cain blend to be really mild.

I probably wouldn't waste to much on them. Shhh

Never opposed to try anything. Might be a nice profile change from the regular smokes.

I just picked up a couple of the #4 size (probably the smallest of the vitolas) for a commuter stick (@$3.75/stick). The shpo had boxes of each size, and another customer in there was picking up a box each of 2 different vitolas. He said he's from Tampa/Largo (possibly another cbidder?), and happened to be in town here. He said his shop (in FL) just got them in, but they won't sell a whole box yet. I'll try and smoke one on my way into work Monday...or perhaps this weekend depending on the weather and schedule.

The Daytona is different than the rest of the Cains. Well, that's obvious, but it's not focused on strength. It uses all ligeros, but the ligeros are solely from the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua. The tobaccos grown in this region are generally used to tone down a blend. They're actually used for balance. They're flavorful but far from overpowering when compared to ligeros from Esteli or Omotepe. In using these tobaccos you get a big flavor without the strength. And I am getting a good amount of cream, with some spice on the backend.

So, it sounds like this may not be a good early morning commute cigar. Brick wall LOL I see some small [vitola] cigars and think "these look good for the drive to work." But for some reason I keep grabbing these smaller cigars with ligero and nicaraguan tobacco in them. Oh well, it still enjoyable on the way in, even if I stumble through the front door. Shhh

Well, could not resist smoking another Cain Daytona today. I am liking this stick now and being that it is 79 degrees outside, clear, LOTS of Daytona sun, sitting on the back porch listening to all the bikes rumble that are here for bike week, finishing a book I am reading.

The Cain Daytona is very different from the Cain F. Lots of smoke, good medium flavor and not overpowering. I did not lose any flavor and it stayed consistent throughout. A nice change from all the powerhouse sticks out there. Even after nubbin' this thing, I did not get any burn or harshness.

The guess the first one i smoked was just bad timing. I just finished a Torano Signature toro and maybe that had something to do with it. I think i may have to get a few more when they become available here. Laugh
