After following the lead of French President Sarkozy in demanding a no-fly zone over Libya, President Obama got his wish and got the backing from the UN Security Council and the Arab League. World leaders will be meeting today in Paris to plan military action against Qaddafi with military action expected to begin within hours after the meeting as Qaddafi's forces continue to advance on Benghazi.

In attendance will be the Prime Minister of the UK, the Presidents of France and Germany, the Secretary-Generals of the UN and the Arab League, the emir of Qatar, and foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia and UAE. Representing the USA at this meeting will be Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. President Obama can't make it. He is in Brazil on a South American tour.

If not for Hillary, we would have a complete void of leadership. The world is taking note of this.

We were pulling for her big-time. I wish she would too, but don't count on it. Her next chance will be in '16.

Actually just this week she said she would not do a second term as Secretary of State and would not run for President. She might just be done.

Reports are that French fighter jets are now in action over Libya.

Meanwhile, President Obama just discovered that Carnival is already over in Brazil.

sometimes I can't tell when you are serious. 2012 winner becomes chum, just like 2008. But 2016 might be where it's at!!! If you AND Robert agree, I'll blindly follow.

I would have much preferred Hillary over Maverick and Hope & Change. She needs to un-hitch her wagon from Obama soon.

FARRAKHAN: "I warn my brother do you let these wicked demons move you in a direction that will absolutely ruin your future with your people in Africa and throughout the world...Why don't you organize a group of respected Americans and ask for a meeting with Qaddafi, you can't order him to step down and get out, who the hell do you think you are?

'To my Dear Obama, our son', says Gaddafi, defending attack on rebels

Calling Barack Obama as "our son", Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi sent a message to the US President defending his decision to attack the rebels fighting to overthrow him.

Gaddafi(68) also wrote a letter to the French and British leaders, and the UN Secretary General, saying the Security Council resolution was "void" and violated the UN charter, warning them that they would "regret" any intervention.

"Libya is not for you, Libya is for the Libyans," he said.

Details of Gaddafi's letters were released by the Libyan government spokesman at a news conference in Tripoli.

Defending his decision to attack rebel cities, Gaddafi told Obama, "Al Qaeda is an armed organisation, passing through Algeria, Mauritania and Mali. What would you do if you found them controlling American cities with the power of weapons? What would you do, so I can follow your example."

Trying to strike a personal note, Gaddafi prefaced his letter saying, "To our son, his excellency, Mr Baracka Hussein Obama. I have said to you before, that even if Libya and the United States of America enter into a war, god forbid, you will always remain a son. Your picture will not be changed."
