Rick

I always had you pegged as a follower.

The only brilliant move Obama's ever made was in the royal sh*tter.

U.S. Tomahawk Cruise Missiles Hit Targets in Libya

More than 112 Tomahawk cruise missiles struck over 20 targets inside Libya today in the opening phase of an international military operation the Pentagon said was aimed at stopping attacks led by Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi and enforcing a U.N.-backed no-fly zone.

President Obama, speaking from Brazil shortly after he authorized the missile attacks, said they were part of a "limited military action" to protect the Libyan people.

Obama theme music

"You put your right foot in you take your right foot out, you put your left foot in and you see if anyone else is still taking the lead, you do the hokey pokey then you dither a little more. That's what he's all about!"

Vive le France!

The first shot fired was by a French jet on armored vehicles.

The French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle will set sail from Southern France on Sunday. It hasn't seen action since its second deployment to Afghanistan. The nearest American carrier is off chasing Somali pirates.

The USA should have never been involved. France and the UK have the economic ties there and Italy is the most concerned about refugee influx.

If the Rafale fighter has a good showing, this could lead to international export contracts. Meanwhile an F-15 is in the dirt for mechanical reasons.

Nevertheless....

Vive le France!

I went to Greece this past summer and i was amazed how laid back everyone was there. If you were in a bar and bumped into someone or you spilled a drink or visa versa, everyone was apologizing to everyone and they were all trying to buy each other drinks to make up for it. here in the US, you are liable to get punched, shot, stabbed or at leasted cussed or a WTF man if you bump into someone. we are so bent on proving our machoism.

if the arab league wants a no fly zone, let them put one in, they have plenty o money...

True dat.
But, if for example the Saudis attack to help the the oposition protect its right to self-determination, how can it deny its own citizens/rebels the same?

Why should they when they can just point Obama in that direction, yell "OPPRESSED!", and he'll do the dirty work for them?

Sure they may be dumb, but so dumb as to be publicly in favor of action one week, then oppose it the next?

Does anyone really buy that they reached the point of supporting it without thinking it through?

No.
They thought hard and came to a conclusion:
Obama can be JOBBED.

EASY! They would just have to act like Americans! We do that stuff all the time.

This is all just our limp-wristed president proving that he's going to do what the planet elected him to do - be a good "world citizen" and go along to get along.

As soon as everyone in the group decides where they want to eat breakfast, he'll 20th the motion. Until then, he stands by obediently and waits for the world to tell him how to think and act.

Gives him time to work up his next apology speech.

...On the bright side....

The US military-defense complex has agreed to replace all cruise missiles expended and aircraft lost at list price.

(do those count as green jobs? Think )
