I guess some in congress can't stomach the site of 6 mil or 3 mil or what ever Nancy finally settled on seniors starving. Or Harry's poor broke family not get their breasts squeezed at an exam.

I on the other hand have no problem with either...

John Boner will pay when election time comes. Wait till the media has at him on Monday.

Boner is done. You heard it here first.

Having Pelosi (who is easily one of the dumbest people in the world) as speaker and now Boner (one of the biggest crybaby wannabe's in politics) as a speaker says all you need to know about the state of our politics.

We used to see people like this in the Corp world and always ask the same question. Who are they doing or who do they have naked pictures of to get these roles...

I would think that there has to be something more positive out of the Obama administration to rally around as "success" than Boehner.

None of this whole showdown theatrics would have ever happened if the Democrats actually were able to pass a Federal budget last spring when they controlled congress instead of doing nothing but one month stop-gap budgets to delay it until after the fall elections. Even that strategic incompetence failed and they lost the House.

Hope & change, bitches.

Hooray! 3 million or 6 millon or 500 bazillion senior citizens won't die tonight because another gigantic load of pork fat dribbled out of Congress!

What a stupid argument. Who really gives a **** if the "cuts" were $60B or $30B when you're talking about a $1.5 trillion debt run up by the mooks on hemp in Congress, led by their White House pimp. It's like arguing which is more noticeable with a 5-gallon bucket of water - removing 1 thimble full or 2. d'oh!

Not sure which makes me sicker - watching the dog-and-pony show on Crapitol Hill, or seeing the short-bus riders on this forum hailing the continuation of out of control spending and record, massive debt like it's party time. Beer

Nothing is sadder than self delusion. Rick, right now, I'm feeling an emotion toward you. Let's see. What is it? Has your post produced an up swell of anger, as you desired? Nope, it's pity, just pity.

Here is part of Congress's transcript from March 16, 2006:

From Barak Obama-

Mr. President, I rise today to talk about America's debt problem.

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies.

Over the past 5 years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is "trillion'' with a "T.'' That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers. And over the next 5 years, between now and 2011, the President's budget will increase the debt by almost another $3.5 trillion...

Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here.'' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit.

See, with me...it's uncontrollable laughter.

Laughter at how a grown man wants a pacifier put back into his mouth like he's a baby by an entity that should have no debt or surplus! A man that doesn't know what government is. A man that thinks the President is more in line with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Free candy from nowhere.

There's no free lunch.

This crowing from him about caving? Crowing.

If you're eating the poop sandwich are you chewing, nibbling or ramming it down your throat like a Nathan's Hot Dog Eating championship? You're eating poop!

Even the grim reaper is a hypocrite. Liberalism is just one big cesspool of liars and hypocrites? Yes we/it is!!

http://townhall.com/video/flip-flop-harry-reid-chastized-gop-for-debt-ceiling-increase-in-2006

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Congress must increase the federal debt limit before it is reached, but struggled to justify his own 2006 vote against it.

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Reid said failing to increase the $14.3 trillion debt limit, which the administration has warned will be reached sometime this spring, is not an option.

“We can’t back out on the money we owe the rest of the world,” he said. “We can’t do as the Gingrich crowd did a few years ago, close the government.”

However, NBC’s David Gregory pointed out that in 2006, Reid and President Obama both voted against an increase to the debt limit. The president was a senator from Illinois at the time, and Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said it was intended to make a statement and that the increase was not in danger of being voted down.

Reid, who said he voted to increase the debt limit “99 percent of time,” said he could not remember that specific vote.

“I don’t really know what vote you’re talking about, I’ve cast about 15,000 votes,” he said. “I’m saying today that we have to raise the debt ceiling. There’s no alternative.”

Maven and Reid might be one in the same! I guess they're right, seniors while slow and dangerous behind the wheel can and will use memory loss as an excuse when needed!!

When the US government goes into default, I guess RICKAMAVEN and drywalldog will have all shown us "what's what!"

While I will agree with many that the Republican party in its current form sucks, we've had two disaterous years of the alternative, and the trillion-dollar-per-budget-year deficits they've run up.

And I'm sure the Liberitarians will one day run a candidate that isn't a Republican retread, and has a slightly better personality than a rotting fish.

Until then, I'll find continual amuement as the poo-flingling liberal wingnuts gleefully shoot their collective feet off. Typically, they are the group that parisitically feeds off of the rest of the general populace (mainly because they don't work). It'll be funny when they can't gain access to their precious goverment teat because there's no more money...

Bush could have put the Afghanistan and Iraq war costs on the budget, but chose not to. When Obama said that was a bs move and put them on budget the freakin' republicans said OMG, LOOK AT HOW OBAMA ADDED TRILLIONS TO THE THE DEBT!!!!. We'll fix it. Just cut taxes for billionaires and millionaires some more. That will work.

Yes.

Just ignore TARP, stimulus, and Obamacare. Those are all "military expenditures."

Secondly, on the last two years there has been no defined budget.
