I'm familiar with Herman Cain being from the Atlanta area where he's been on the radio for while. I think he's the real deal, even Reagan-esque if you hear him in his element. I would have no problem voting for him right now...hope he does well in the primaries.

Will he overspend like Reagan?
Or will he cut spending like Ron Paul?

The more I research Mr Cain the more I like him.I do believe I just decided where to place my bet. It's going to be hilarious sitting back and watching the libs attempt to corner this guy.Their true colors(or lack thereof) will be exposed.

What do you think put Ubama in office? I'm tired of Mit and sick of Newt. Trump is a creep. Ron Paul is a moonbat. Read Cain's platform and bio, then decide what kind of human being he is. No guilt here and I sent him money. Gonz

Real specifics there Herman. Way to go! He's got the issues all covered there.

Ok. You are p a t h e t i c for even trying to throw it back. For years I've been told I and other 'white democrats/liberals' voted for Obama out of white guilt. Now it's thrown back at you guys as a joke and you get all huffy. 'So we were right you voted out of white guilt?' No, you were and still are wrong, stupid and racist for even thinking that was the case.

Oh no.......here comes the racist card again - so very old and so very pathetic. In fact, I truly believe it's all you have to throw at anyone. The more you write, the bigger joke you become. I've done my best to try and reason with you but you always come back to race. Absolutely over the top at this point. Why don't you give it a rest for 10 minutes or so?

You plain like the guy? Can't be, you are white and he is black, so it's gotta be white guilt! At least that's what I've been told for years from the right-wing here.

Aha. So white people who voted for Obama did so solely out of white guilt, because they're white and he's not. But white people supporting and donating to Cain do so because they find his stand on the issues preferable to his opponents. I get it now. Basically, "liberals" that vote for non-whites do so out of feelings of guilt and as a result of subtle racism. "Conservative" whites vote for a non-white only based on their impression of and preference for the candidate, without any regard to skin color.

Makes perfect sense.

Cain has an agenda and a platform.

This far into the Muslim Kenyan's Presidency, I still have no idea what his agenda or platform is other than allow illegals to completely bankrupt states that are near bankrup and to tax people who invested time effort and money in their eductation and work hard to live comfortably to allow those who do not go to school or work to have better quality of life than those who do.

You mean specifics like:
Bring the troops home
Close Gitmo
Reduce dependency on foriegn oil
Get the ecomony going
Crack down on Wall Street Greed
Pass a health care plan that works

Anything else the Muslim Kenyan was specific about?

I didn't see an "insult" there from Chief, just a statement that something was pathetic. You, cbc812, are one of the most strident insulters on this board when you happen to show up, so I guess you must not think much of your own character.

Mikey - Obama as a candidate also appeared to have an agenda and a platform. It wasn't until he was actually in office that he revealed himself as just as much of a huckster as any of our elected slimeballs on both sides of the aisle. A lot of what he said resonated with a lot of people, and I'll admit that he fooled me too. I don't think he's as bad as most of the posters here do, but Obama the candidate was exciting, Obama the President is a sellout and a disappointment.

I'm not implying that Cain is also a fake - just saying that Obama seemed to have promise and an agenda that appealed to a lot of voters before he became just another part of the machine.

i love gov. pensions/benefits too! we are going to have to realize very soon that no one in the private sector offers these benefits so why should the gov? anyone from a sanitation worker to congresspeople get unrealistic pensions and health benefits after retirement.

cbc - that was a fair and honest repsonse and I respect your opinion.

Which is why I think we need to look for a candidate outside of the political system. Obama was never a CEO, Mayor, Govenor, was barely a Senator and yet was handpicked to run for President. As much as we thought we were going to get something different - we got a whole lot more of the same.

Cain strikes me as something different and currently has my interest.

pa·thet·ic adjective /pəˈTHetik/

1.Arousing pity, esp. through vulnerability or sadness
- she looked so pathetic that I bent down to comfort her

2.Miserably inadequate
- his test scores in Chemistry were pathetic

3.Relating to the emotions

Pathetic isn't a true insult such as common name calling. You aroused pity in me and a certain sort of sadness. I rarely name call here - it's childish and Fuzzish......

Oh, and before Fuzz get's his knickers in a twist:

fuzz verb /fəz/
fuzzed, past participle; fuzzed, past tense; fuzzes, 3rd person singular present; fuzzing, present participle

1.Make or become blurred or indistinct
- snow fuzzes the outlines of the signs

Name calling is indistinct........

I agree, Mikey, but I think the system itself is part of the problem. It seems that even lifetime "outsiders", by the time they actually get into office, have already had to suck so many d***s and pimp themselves out to so many money people and influence peddlers that their best intentions are buried.

Bitter?

No one in the private sector?

Here's a 1 minute google search.

http://finance.yahoo.com/focus-retirement/article/110780/10-companies-with-the-best-retirement-plans?mod=fidelity-changingjobs&cat=fidelity_2010_changing_jobs

Govt workers have to pay for their health benefits unless they are retired military and a few others. Most all federal retired workers have to pay for their own health insurance (including congress).

Define unrealistic pensions?

Educate yourself you sound like a sound bite machine.

Okay, I understand now. My turn: You are hideous.

hid·e·ous   /ˈhɪdiəs/ Show Spelled[hid-ee-uhs] Show IPA
–adjective
1. horrible or frightful to the senses; repulsive; very ugly: a hideous monster.
2. shocking or revolting to the moral sense: a hideous crime.
3. distressing; appalling: the hideous expense of moving one's home to another city.

Your post was distressing to me, therefore it's okay for me to call you a hideous person.

What a fun game!!!!

Mikey he made it blatenly obvious to all that were paying attention.

At the end of EVERY campaign speech he closed with this line...

"we will change America ... and we will change the WORLD"

What do you think a man with no Executive experience was going to do? Something right? No, then there's the telling ending to one of his last speeches..."fundamentally change America"?????

Sorry, but America IS the greatest nation on the planet. I didn't say perfect.

No, this is the kind of clown the Left wanted in the Ringleader seat with Pelosi and Reid as the guardians at the gate. One down. One narrowly got their seat and is clinging to the gavel. The Agenda tide has swung. Let's make the Kenyan King a one termer. America can't take a 2nd term of Owebama. They're already talking about America defaulting in 2016. With this clown in the same job he'd push the pedal to the metal to make sure we jump track.

He wants the illegals as a voting bloc. That's why he and his party are pandering to them. Every single time they pander to a group they use them unitl there's nothing left. The unions were just kicked to the curb. I bet they show up again and vote the same way. Programming being what it is and all. Change? That's what they wanted. He NEVER said it was positive!
