Ray is coming to South Jersey tomorrow for a shooting competition. Going to be 15 to 20 C-bidders getting together to herf in his honor. I invited Fuzz to join us, but he made it personal between him and I. I'm going to have a nice 5ver with his name on it, in case he shows. Dirty Rat, T-52, CAO Vision, one of my rare Diablos and a Tat Nobles. So, anyone thinks he will show?

Fuzz,

The invitation is sincere.
In the typical CBid fashion, every one will truly get along fine and have a good time.
Just go!

I'm sure everything would be fine, I can handle myself in any social situation. No biggie. I prefer not to go, that's all.

What's funny is the stupid taunting and the comment that I made it 'personal' and this childish thread.

Seriously Robert, you wouldn't find these things off-putting?

Yes. I did very much before I went to my first CBid herf. I was very concerned that Dr. MadVibe and I would clash in person as we had on line, and that I didn't know anyone in the flesh.

But, everything went very smoothly- even better than "I would have hoped. Everyone got to know each other quite a bit better. None of the usual polarized "debates, criticisms and the like. There was so much more to talk about that no one was interested the least in getting back into the subjects we wrestled over online. In fact, the unwritten rule is that that is forbidden.

It's kind of like having a lunch or dinner ("breaking bread") with someone you don't get along with for the first time-it is almost impossible to keep the animosity up afterwards. I am not saying you should go so that people will be nice to you afterwards. I am recommending you go because you will be treated well and will have a good time!

And, no one would offer you a great fiver like the one you rejected- if they really didn't mean well and truly look forward to meeting you.So, just do it!

Hang loose, have a drink, laugh a little, smoke some cigars you have never tried, bring a few of your favorites to share (without going overboard)- and you will have no problem having a real good time with everyone!

I virtually guarantee it.

Like I said Robert, I'm sure things would go fine I know how to handle myself. I honestly don't have any interest, at all, with herfing with a few people here, others no problem. Someone who starts a thread like this, for example, is the former. People who can't handle disagreements like adults, same thing, potts and a few others are examples of that.

I wouldn't avoid going somewhere I was planning on going if anyone here was going to be there, but I am not going to go out of my way, in this case 3 hour round trip, to meet people and hang out with people like the one being discussed here.

Being concerned how you and DMV would get along, though a valid concern, is hardly the same as being taunted by having multiple threads started about you in an attempt to mock and insult, constantly, like 8 year olds.

Kipp's reading the thread, yay. He came to a herf that I also attended at Lou the Whale's place. I brought a whale ice cream cake for Twinarch's going away to the Army party. He didn't hit me, not sure if he wanted to though. ;)

And the winner is an answer that I did not think to list.

"No, he will feign insult and insult and belittle me in retaliation"

Fuzz, If anyone here is full of themselves, it's you. Do you actually find my little jabs so insulting? Bull****! Just a convenient excuse. You can't take a little bit of what you dish out here on a daily basis without whining? I thought that maybe, just maybe in real life you wouldn't be the ignorant butt hole with a superiority/victim complex that you like to portray yourself as on these boards. That if some of the other members that I regularly herf with actually got to share a smoke with you, that they wouldn’t make fun of you the way they do. Guess I was wrong. Well, at least everything's back to normal.

Dang, I’m going to enjoy that Rat tomorrow night. Think I'll follow it up with an Anarchy.

Enjoy.

Look at you though playing the I'm so nice, look at me, I invited Fuzz character here. You want to see BS? Here's some bs.

"So, I guess you're not joining us at the Knokmdwn herf. Understandable, as it's one thing to be a big shot from behind a keyboard, but to actually meet with those who don't think like you do, and maybe find out that they are just normal, everyday folk, and not (gasp) a bunch of wing nuts, may be a little out of your comfort zone. Dang, and I was really looking forward to some Snickerdoodles, HAAAAA!"

'ignorant butt hole with a superiority/victim complex'
'dumb arse'
'frack’n stupid'

I'm not playing a victim, I'm avoiding a ****** who can't handle disagreements without acting like a stupid child.

Dish out? When have I called you any thing like the things you called me? I'll answer that, never. So you are a liar.

And you wanted to stop people from 'making fun of me'? wtf? First, for you to think that would be a goal of mine is weird, secondly, bs. Everytime you brought it up you said something to the effect, 'so you can see we are not all backward rednecks' or something similar. It was all about you.

So yeah, back to normal, as if it ever wasn't.

No. My father was a pastry chef though. Apprenticed in Switzerland. Worked at Springli, the place that makes Lindt chocolates. Met my mom there, she was a hostess. They got married and came to this country to get rich, instead they got religious.

He still makes some damn good stuff though, European like pastries and cakes.

Robert, its my hope that through the misconception that we were able to become better friends. Friends aren't going to always agree and some of my closest ones have told me when I'm wrong.

Not meeting up with guys at a herf from here is just crazy.

The stories, the camaraderie, the hospitality...it's numbing and intoxicating...it's a very special part of the WWW that we all share here. If you cannot meet up with others in real life then it's that person that is really missing out. I try to meet up with all the BOTL/SOTL's that come to the Tampa Bay area and show them Ybor City. Have a good time and unwind.

It's been my understanding that each and every BOTL/SOTL that I've met from here is personality PLUS. After years of reading posts here by certain people you can develop a "cyber personality" and you can make a judgement on character. When you meet up with individuals in person it all gels and you get the PLUS factor. I've NEVER met anyone that's a wallflower or so dainty they'd faint meeting each other at a herf. If anything it's like a retirement party...a bunch of people that know each other and have laughed and cried with each other. Shared good times and bad times and are in the same room able to see the wrinkles, laugh lines and smirks. I hope through that that when they read a post of mine they can see the giggling going on.

No, it's a true travesty to miss out when there's a herf in your area. I know life happens and that sometimes you can't make it but to publicly state "No" or "I wouldn't go now because I don't like the cigars you pass out"...that's wrong and is a clear misuse of this site and the togetherness we all share here. Not only that, it only helps foster the connotations others hold about you too if you can't show your face in public...with others...with a cigar or 3...maybe a beer and share a meal.

Agree with ya, bud. I've personally had the privilege of sharing smokes with 40 - 50 folks from here, maybe even more. Blessed to have a local group of a dozen or more members that I herf with at least once a month. Some weekly, some a few times a week. Many have been to my home on numerous occasions. Met and smoked with others at the last 2 C-Fests, and even more at Ramstock and Delarob’s yearly herf. There hasn’t been a single one that wasn’t worth meeting and enjoying a smoke with. Heck, even Anthony (05busa) is a great dude in real life.

I can't afford a "cyber personality" as too many here would cry "bull****". When others refuse to associate in person with fellow members, it makes one wonder what they are trying to hide.

Fuzz just go but pretend you are me. They don't know what I look like. Half of them probably think I'm purple (mostly blue with a little bit of red) and wear a black cape.

PM me if you need some background info for the rouse..... things like I used to be a woman until the operation in 89, wheel and I are the same person, and the reason FGM is such a drama queen is wheel and I walked in on him while he was dressed as a french maid performing services on cooper..... it was in a truck stop somewhere in idaho and we didn't see the lizard sticker. He is still scared we will tell everyone. Cooper doesn't care.

It will be great fun.

I was really referring to being able to see a person when they talk/type...you develop a feel for their personality. Sarcasm is totally lost on the internets and sometimes you can read more into a person by the way they use their body and hands when they talk.

Not really talking about some fake persona. I'll leave that to the insane. Ya gotta get away from the keyboard and live Life. Some people become consumed by the web, the tv or other fillings...you have to associate yourself with others.

Agreed. I had someone accuse me of pretending to be something the other day. I thought "wow... pretend to be something on a fairly non importent board? For what purpose? Weird."

I've seen this place really suck some people in (become WAY too important). I'm actually really worried about what xbox does to my son. It's like a drug. Everything else bebcomes non important. His obsession with the xbox reminds me of mine with the vajayjay when I was his age. Except he actually gets to play with the xbox and I was too much of a geek to reach the holy grail. But its the journey and I'm no longer bitter mostly.

I don't take it that seriously in here and at times that has pissed some off. I respect most in here but its just not that important. The folks I have met have been really cool. Ya meet em or you don't.

That said, I probably wouldn't go to a herf just to prove I could get along with folks that are dickish to me or I was a ****** to. And not going wouldn't mean I had something to hide or some other stupid BS. Meh. I'm there or I'm not. But a thread like this wouldn't entice me. A herf is for fun, not to prove something.

Heaven forbid a little fencemending goes on from both sides?

Childish and like I said destroys the spirit of the site.

Really.

As for the XBox thing...show up one day when he's in school and take it all out...lock it in the trunk of your car for a month.

Heaven forbid a little fencemending goes on from both sides?

Childish and like I said destroys the spirit of the site.

Really.

As for the XBox thing...show up one day when he's in school and take it all out...lock it in the trunk of your car for a month.

Wow, someone gets my position and admitted to it. Thanks TW.

They understand my position and I'm sure some can even empathize with it, but would never admit it.

Just got home from Europe so I'm all jacked up on time zones and jet lag.

You need to get your doctor to prescribe "shift-sleep disorder" medicine so that you will at least be alert when you need to be. My neurologist says it works great and that he occasionally uses it for jet lag to expedite adjustment without feeling "wired". I considered using it for fatigue, but decided not mix it in with my other meds after consulting with a pharmacologist.

Old, old, old water under the bridge. It ended the instant we met in the flesh. I have invited you to my home. You have welcomed me in yours. No argument or difference of opinion (no matter how wrong you are!) could change that. Sure hope to herf with you again soon, Bro!

Boo frickity hoo.......get a tissue and have yourself a good cry. You truly are a nancy boy who's afraid of his own shadow. This is a cigar forum where folks meet up and smoke cigars. Most bring giveaways and pass them out freely. Those in attendance take them in the spirit they are given. They drink, they eat, and they tell tall tales and poke fun at each other.

I've had my share of disagreements here but I'm not above herfing with anyone. I'd love to herf with Rick and Potts - together! I've done a 6 hour roundtrip in a single day to herf with folks. Criminy - you need to grow yourself a pair and get a backbone from someone. All this forum crap is nothing but forum crap - it just don't mean a thing. I don't let a soul here bother me and I certainly don't take it too seriously. "Oh, they insulted me...boo hoo.hoo..."

Reading this whole thread made me want to puke........

At the end of the day, Wheel is still a gay midget lover, Jade is a bigger gay midget lover, Rick is encased in his own tinfoil cap made from gum wrappers, MACS is stuck in his G35 (oh, now it's a G37), Scotthar is admired and loved by hetero-sexuals EVERYWHERE, and I'm still a douche nozzle of the greatest magnitude....fuque me..............

Don't believe it! I herfed with you once and all I have to show for it is a scar and a French flag.
