Glad they made it safely for the most part. Also good you could salvage that one cigar and got to enjoy it.

Happy they made it intact. I've seen enough shipping personnel at their craft that it always makes me nervous

I couldn't have a better mail carrier tbh. She brings packages directly to my door and always drops off dog treats for the pup.

Mikey: USPS made me wait 7 business days to submit a lost package inquiry. I’ll let you know what comes out of it.

To be fair, it was the UPS and FedEx folks I saw the worst from back in my shipping/receiving days. To be more fair, it wasn't all the drivers, but they definitely had some bad apples.

Matt, thank you very much!

Matt’s Elite Non-Elitist all Tatuaje All-Star 6er:

J21 Reserva - love the Brown label Reserva series
Jibaro OR from ‘07 - are you kidding me?
Little Boris - had one and never thought I’d ever see another
Stogies H-Town Lancero - damn!
TAA 50th - have had a couple of them...and love ‘um!
Vignoble OR ‘14 - missed out on these when they came out, glad Matt didn’t

“Mahalo” doesn’t seem enough but know that I really appreciate these super fine smokes. Will rest these up and ash them up in gratitude.

It has taken a little while to put this on here....been pretty busy with work while here in Hawaii.

I met up with Palama/ Conan at the Row Bar for a Drew Estate Event. We had a great time herding and telling stories. We exchanged a few cigars and he hit me up with my PIB.

Here are the damages:
AF 8-5-8 Maddy from 2014
AF 8-5-8 Sungrown from 2013 (oh yeah)
Tat Nuevitas Jibaro #2
Bolivar Royal Corona cc 2017
H. Upmann Half Corona cc 2013

A great hit....but then he threw in some hitchhikers.
Tat Nuevitas Estelli
Aladino Elegante
Robusto
Robusto Corojo Reserve
And a MF lancero from 2013

Conan, as usual a great hit, great fun, and a great BOTL. Until next time,

Mahalo,
David

Apologies for the delay. Jet lag is apparently a real thing. So, met up with Conan at the Row Bar this past week for a smoke and a couple beers; an excellent time to end an excellent vacation. Restraint must be a foreign concept to him as he he proceeded to rain gifts down upon me. There was a variety of snacks to keep me fed through the journey home and beyond. Had some pretzel crisps, a variety of macadamia nuts and some Hawaiian fruit drink mixes. My loot got mixed up with my souvenir purchases so can only beg forgiveness for any items I've forgotten.

And then there were the cigars. Just your basic "5er":
Camacho Corojo Nacional '06 nh
Tat Broadleaf 7th Reserva '13 nh
AF Hemingway Signature Cameroon '13 nh this vitola
AF Hemingway Signature Maduro '14 nh this vitola
AF Hemingway Signature Sungrown '15 nh
AF Magnum R44 '14 nh
AF Anejo #46 '14 nh
AF Anejo #48 '16 nh
HVC Edicion Especial '18 - had and enjoy. Now, what is this? Sorry, I'm now spoiled and only accept cigars aged for 3+ yrs. jk ;)
JRE Aladino Cazadore '19 x2 nh
Casa Cuba Flor Fina toro nh

Conan, thanks seem woefully insufficient here, but I thank you. There are many hours of enjoyment I'm looking forward to.

Now, who wants to pick up Marcus? I will if no one else does, but almost killed the thread last time I was up.

It is, definitely. Blows my mind though you can smoke in the middle of a business center when the rest of the island is pretty restrictive.

You're more than welcome! Had a great time herfing and talking story. Next time tell your wife to come along!

Those Chinese pretzels are addicting. I would definitely send those out instead of One-Ton Chips but they break too easily and they'd be a bunch of broken pieces by the time they reached their destination.

Note, the JREs are slightly different. One is the "regular" one, the Reserva is said to be stronger.

The Casa Cuba is a Divine Inspiration from 2016 and is, imho, starting to peak. I would recommend smoking it sooner rather than later. Same with the R44.

There are a couple bars that “let you smoke”. They say it is non smoking but will give you an ashtray. Irish Rose is one.

A few years ago when I met Bur, we herfed at Kelley O'Neil's and asked for an ashtray. The waitress then told us that it's against the law to smoke inside the bar, that we could be fined for doing so and then handed us the ashtray. Lucky we were deep inside, tucked away in a corner so if the Smoke Police came in, hopefully we would have enough warning and time to put down the cigars and do our best "No, those aren't our cigars. We just got these seats." Liar

Well thank you SOB for the very kind gesture. So I'm new to the PIB/Wants - Non Elitist so if I setup out of bounds please forgive me. So there are a handful of brands I've been wanting to explore deeper they are as follows:

Arturo Fuente – I've only had the Anejo
Illusione – Ive only had the 88
Crowned Heads - I’ve only had the La Imperiosa and four kicks maduro
Tatuaje – I’ve only had the Tatuaje Havana VI
RoMa Craft – I’ve only had the CroMagnon

Thank you in advance to whoever picks me up.

Thanks again Chris! ThumpUp

Wanna kinda branch out from my usual brands. Some may be a tad over the MSRP so no problem if no one has them. Prefer 52RG or less but no issues if larger. My list:

Aganorsa Leaf - nh so anything
Archetype - nh so anything
Cornelius & Anthony - have tried Daddy Mac so anything else
Crowned Heads Las Calaveras 2019
Curivari - got some waiting to be ashed but would like to also try: Centauro, La Iliada, Meridian, Pythagoras or the Sun Grown
Dapper - El Borracho Maduro or Siempre
HVC - Cerro or any La Rosa 520 except Favoritos (...got plenny of those...)
JRE Aladino Connecticut
Powstanie
Nomad GB-19
Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Lancero
Warped Serie Gran Reserva 1988 or Guardian of the Farm

But “usual suspects” that fall within this PIB will be happily sparked up too. Herfing

Small kine slacking on my part but when Dan and I met last week, he had some return fire ready and gifted me a nice 5er (all nh):

Asylum 33 Corona Extra
Diesel Whiskey Row Sherry Cask Toro
La Aurora Untamed CG
Southern Draw Firethorn White Perfecto
Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto

These will definitely broaden my horizons and I look forward to sparking them up in the near future.
