Seriously...what was it?

I've never seen that on a properly humidified cigar!

I had three give me trouble last week. I think it was the fact that the furnace has been kicking on and that just dries the house out. Noticed my humidity dropped a couple points in the T.O.P. and that is where I pulled them from.

Cigar? Temp? Humidity?
Have others done this recently? Not a good site and yes, gotta be a Gurkha.

Not a Ghurka - La Aroma de Cuba
3rd out of a 5er - first 2 smoked great
Humi is good & stable - everything else out of the box smokes without issue
Think it just may have been a bad stick.
Pissed me off but I was determined and smoked it. Hate throwing these away.

Bet it was still good. I love smoking them when they do this as long as some taste is still there.

Wow, even looks like the binder split down the length of the stick too. Had a La Aurora do this last week, dry from the store and I watched it split open as I smoked it.

I've heard of this happening in extreme change too. i.e. it was dry and you took it to the jungle. or, it was 80 degrees and you took it outside to the 20s (but, it does look like you were inside?)

Smoked it at my desk. My "office" is in the garage but maintains a 65° temp and there's little humidity. Damn thing cracked, split, sparked, and hissed at me. Thought it was a "trick" cigar but I'm embarrassed to say I still smoked her. No guess the flavor was a bit off but I had a few brews and just couldn't bring myself to throw her away. Had this problem with a few girls in my past but those are different stories.

Had two different Tats out of the same humi tonight, and they both smoked great... perfect even burn. But never had it happen with a LaDC before. After a dozen weeks in the humi the first two from the same 5er smoked great???

Cigar? Temp? Humidity?
Who knows?? All appear correct ie. hygrometer, condition of beads, and fans operating. Just another reason for Santa to drop a Vinotemp at the house for Christmas - take the guess work and fuss out of it.
