Have you ever met a congressman or a senator?

I know a couple dozen of them. Every. Single. One of them is a raging a*hole. That's both sides of the aisle, both houses, podunk-districts in the middle of nowhere to (former) Senate Majority Leader.

Douche nozzles, every last one.

I am convinced that there is something mentally wrong with anyone aspires to that kind of office. Not surprised in the slightest.

Ah, I get it. It's okay for a congressperson to treat citizens like this, I can call you anything I want when you are sitting in that chair, {paraphrasing) provided I agree with them.

You are tools and fools that deserve it then.

I see you've brought in to the conversaion Rush's adjective, good for you. He would love that you listen so closely and parrot his points.

And yes, I care. Seems like someone who complains about politicians as much as you do would agree with me here, but you can't bring yourself to do it even when it's something as easy and obvious as elected representatives having contempt for the American people.

You really care what Chris Mathews thinks? Really? You must, you started a thread about him.

If ya don't like it vote him out.

Not a classy move.....hardly worth getting worked up over.

Dems have been calling whole groups of people names.

What? If you agree it was an **** move, why would you even say this to defend it? Makes no sense at all. It's an example of how much he has contempt for the people he works for. It's sh*t like this that makes conservatives look like real tools when they defend or write off behavior like this because the perp is an R and yet condemn the same attitude in people they disagree with.

Yes it was poor behavior and he shouldn't havr done it. I didn't defend it I pointed out what I thought was as bad or even worse behavior I don't remember you showing such outrage for.

Professor Rice got what he wanted attention.

The R from Alaska I have don't think "had contempt for a tax payer" I think he had contempt for an enviro-wacko.

Doesn't matter cuz you just wanna play the tool card. So proceed everyone is listening.

Also technically speaking he works for his constituents in Alaska not for the unpatriotic professor Rice (energy independence is patriotic right?).

Proves my point once again that you accept behavior if they 'agree' with you and complain vehemently when they don't.

The committee is making decisions that effect the entire country. And bringing patriotism into this is freakin' bizzare.

I think your outrage is just as selective as the alleged hypocrisy you're pointing out. It was context.

And if you don't get the patriotism point I can't help you. Ill give you a hint its hypocrisy!

I think such behavior by a legislator is 100% unacceptable, no matter what the issue and what party. Another step along the way to absolutely zero political discourse. I blame the chairperson too. He/She should control what is going on, particularly with those on his/her committee. I also think the witness was obnoxious and way over the line.

I used to battle during litigation and in court hearings. Some times there was animosity between my self and opposing counsel. The arguments could be quite contentious. Hearings could be tension-filled. Certain judges were pricks. My clients had a personal stake in the outcomes of whatever was going on and, by extension, my financial interest was often an important factor. At other times, it was a matter of principal.

Listened to personal attacks and outright slander of my clients became common. My integrity, skills and knowledge were belittled. And, I was often contributing to what ever was going on by just subtly pushing opposing counsel or a witness- over the edge. But, it was a rare event that any player ever behaved like that. The daggers were out many, many times- but disputes, disagreements and outward bursts of anger were controlled almost all of the time.

You can count on one hand the number of times that I saw behavior like that...

Rare to see such logical consistancy.

Z still hasn't given me examples where I condoned behavior worse than this by a Democrat.

Fuzzy I never said you condoned anything! I pointed out that Dems have done this as well and you weren't outraged. Again context.

And Robert I agree its not befitting the office of both him and the chairperson not stepping in.

Don't know what the Rush snippet is all about because I don't listen to him.

Really, you care what hobknobbing people with power have to say with snobby little educators with more alphabet letters behind their names...that makes you a certifiable jackass. Politicians don't care about you, me or anything else but getting re-elected and taking whatever they can that's not bolted down. Wake the **** up and start acting like someone with a brain instead of a little middle school girl that has a crush on a boy that doesn't even know she's alive.

Do I care with Chrissy thinks? No. He's an idiot lapdog that's slobbered all over the Kenyan King's shaft so know-nothings like you and Peggy Joseph can get all giddy and star-eyed with wonderment that everything is gonna be taken care of if you take care of him! People in the media like Matthews failed. They didn't vet him like they should've. They gave him a pass and we're all stuck with the steaming pile of poo that you're going to vote for a second term despite Matthews telling you you've already seen what he is and he has no plan! The reason for that thread was for people like you to post on to explain yourselves. Why would you vote for an incompetent snob that wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Get real and stop acting like a little bitch!

You would've blasted anyone else for just posting a link for not being original in thought or just lazy ignorant. That catfight bought and paid for by the American taxpayer is what's wrong with it all. The Sgt. At Arms should've thrown them all out for acting like that.

LOOK AT THE **** WEINER GOT AWAY WITH. IF HE DIDN'T WALK AWAY, H WOULD BE RUNNING FOR THE SENATE NEXT YEAR.

^Agree with most you wrote there, Uncle Rick, but I take exception to the last line. Owning their own pest control truck would imply that these leaches actually did an honest, blue collar day's work at some time in their life. Really doubt that any of them actually labored a single day at what the majority of Americans consider “honest work”.

Yeah, but the OP thinks we should put value into what they do and say and to whom they do it and say it with.

What a travesty on the taxpayers.

We deserve attention to the real problems facing America and we get served this garbage and we're told to take it.

Enough is enough.

Blows me away that the same OP would stand and side with the occupoopers and the violence they were about with their disjointed messages yet will back this kind of sad sad form of government. Here I really thought Snickerdoodles was better than that. He's not.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTUH_zYsu1o&feature=related

Look at their faces.

The reality is that there is no forward thinking plan to get us off fossil fuels. Anything that's being thought of is 10 years away from getting to the market. We've been playing this political correctness mamby pamby bull since Carter. He created an entire agency to get us off the teat. We're not and if they can't come up with an idea to get us off of it then shut her down and do it now! Don't bitch and moan about how these idiots talk to each other. That's NOT the issue. Getting more oil for the War Machine is. We won't be seeing cheap gas with the protectionism and fraudulent research from the academia side of the table. They have no plan but "NO!". They'll protect wildlife that will migrate and fabricate crap like global warming. It's insanity.

This assclown goes camping and writes historical books that nobody reads!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKadjI9_VL8

We have a friend to the north that wants to finish a pipeline. A pipeline that would benefit us as a nation, but the foot dragging of the Kenyan King's administration is dooming the hundreds of thousands of jobs and barrels of oil we could use NOW. If we as a nation don't take it and use it China will! Instead...let's talk about Dr. Rice and the esteemed Mr.Douchebag.
