Newt is a smart man but has a lot of baggage, and let's face it--what people loved about Obama is that he was a complete construct of his handlers and the media.

Newt could mop the floor with Obama in a debate and the next day the polls would show Obama gaining followers as a result.

Newt has a snowball's chance in hell of beating Obama on election day.

So, let's say Obama backs out running for a second term (won't happen). Hillary is the "shoe-in" for the D's. I just wonder how appealing Hillary would be to the R's and I's. I would bet she (and Bill) cream Romney and Gingrich election day.
