And just to save time, don't answer this. Because whatever you say will be wrong.

I don't know about ever defending him.
I've followed his political career & even though I thought him to be an empty suit, I wished him well & hoped he would surround himself with capable, incorruptible people who spewed fresh ideas.
Boy, was I right about the spewing part.

He took over a train wreck left by the last administration.
The pubes have opposed him at every turn,no matter what he proposed
to try and turn around the economy.
Some of his decisions have been less than stellar. However,he keeps on truckin,in spite of the pubes,
who try everything at their disposal to insure his failure. XFrying pan

If I remember correctly his first two years he got all he wanted with Reid and Pelosi in control of congress.
That work real well.

I AM WRONG ABOUT EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE PRIOR PRETENDER TO THE THRONE.
I THOUGHT HE WAS A MAN DRIVEN TO DO GOOD, AND IMPROVE THE LIVES OF
AMERICANS, AND LEAVE A LEGACY WE WOULD ALL PRAY FOR.

I PRAYED FOR THAT AS OFTEN AS I COULD.

I GUESS I WAS WRONG OR I MIGHT BE WRONG ABOUT WHAT I JUST WROTE.

+1 on the train-wreck economy. Also, disapointed with the R's. Don't want to see the R's control both houses and the Presidency at once.

What a line of crap.

For those NOT paying attention to the bottom line...I've been on here so much during the Bush years...remmber the posts where I stated...quite clearly that back in 2001...BEFORE 9/11/01...he sent advisors up on the Hill asking about Fannie and Freddie's solvency only to be rebuked by Snickerdoodle's idol, the incomparable stooge Bawney Fwank and Maxine Waters. Don't tell me he inherited a train-wreck economy....because W did too! The "mythical" budget surplus was all smoke and mirrors and anyone with a grade school education can see the difference between the terms "Actual" and "Projected". That's part of what got us in the mess we're in...everyone wants to "project" with your freaking tax dollars.

I'd LOVE to see a R House and Senate pull the same stuff Pelosi and Reid did...only to REPEAL all the bull**** they did! Repeal it all and bring the Kenyan King's regime to trial for usurping power and destroying Capitalism in the United States of America.

Lies right there. You must watch Fox and Friends because that's what they were arguing yesterday morning. Republicans have blocked tax cuts for the middle class last year and now it could happen again this month. Only 42% of his nominees have been approved, compared to 86% of GW's. Dream act, the jobs act, ending oil company subsidies, there has been quite a bit Obama has not gotten. This is not so that people can argue over each proposal that was shut down, whether or not you agree with it or not has nothing to do with the fact that they were blocked by the Republican house.

As far as the spending binge starting in 2006, provide evidence of that. You won't, because you can't as there was no such hyperdrive.

When President Obama took office, he had two years of free reign with a Democrat controlled US Congress. We clearly suffered a leadership crisis as he failed to deliver on most of the expectations of his base.

However, the Obama Cone of Protection is good! It does suck for the Democrats, Obama's base in general, and the high hopes they all had. There was bamboozling and hoodwinking.

I think that was a valid expectation of some people but I'm not sure he actually promised it. You have to wordsmith the speeches carefully to filter out all the different ways of saying "maybe". Political public speaking really should be considered an art form and not just a skill.

This is not a lie fwuzzy, even when the left had control of both houses they could not pass a budget. Members of his own party would not vote for the things he wanted.

Obama has the presence of an Ivy Leaguer.
He reminds me of the professorial type with a pipe until you scratch the veneer, listen carefully, & discover much to your horror that he has the depth of a chocolate- colored moonshiner. I wouldn't throw all the blame on his lap however. These world-wide, financial problems have been in the making for decades.

Don't know that we are privy to any real facts or have any viable choices at this point for that matter.
Despite their flaws, good Presidents only come along once in a lifetime if you're lucky.

I wasn't responding to that.

And you honestly think Obama's intent is to make America weaker, worse or whatever is the opposite of our 'best interest'? Really? You just don't have a different opinion, you think that he actually is working, consciously, to bring down the country?

Hmmm, All I said was he wasn't doing things in the best interest of the country. Then you try to twist my words into something more extreme. Your usual tactic is getting old.

But that's not what you said, you said his 'intent' which is predmeditated and planned and not just a difference of opinion on policy. So if that wasn't your intention you had a poorly written sentence.

This entire Obama is a far left socialist attack is so off base it makes your arguments less valid. The arguments made on this board run from that to he's in the pocket of wall st, big oil, etc. These two things can not be both true.

I do not know what predmeditated is but it was a nice try anyway. I didn't seem to say what the intent was other than it wasn't in the best interest, but you try to read into something that is not there, as usual.
Your notion that you cannot be far left and still be in the pocket of big business is another lie, he has and will continue to get huge donations from Wall Street. It's part of the game for them.
