When Israel bombed an Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981, RP was one of the few in congress who refused to condemn them, saying they should be able to defend themselves without our interference.
RP's stance aside, and I really don't recall tons of US criticism of Israel at the time, I was skewered here a few months ago when calling this preemptive strike a legitimate act of defense by Israel.
However, I have no opinion if Paul's refusal to condemn clears him, though I am also not convinced he is guilty. Very murky waters here and I do not take racism or antisemitiic charges lightly.
I am pleased to learn of his stance in any event.
