Poll taken 12/11/11. Favorable 48% Unfavorable 49%. This is not his "approval" rating, but overall popularity. For several years folks would say that they did not approve of his policies, but had an overall favorable opinion of him. Not only are his polices unpopular, but now he's personally become so. Keep in mind that this poll was not taken by Fox News or the Washington Times, but a liberal rag.
Of course the major networks spin this by adding that Gingrich is even less popular. I guess that makes the networks feel better about folks no longer liking their chosen messiah. Strange that the Post would even print this.
