A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

Now, Obama wants to register, then list, all gun owners as the first step in taking your guns away. Then comes the big round-up.

Once we make owning a gun illegal, then only obama's homey's will have guns.

I've always found this "cold dead fingers" crap to be counter productive, pessimistic and foreboding. What good is it if they kill you for your guns? You're dead, and they have what they came for. Trying to make a lone stand, outnumbered against much better armed and trained attackers is pure foolishness.

Personally, I will be more then willing to give up my guns. Heck, I'll even freely toss them aside.... once they secure for me something with a little more firepower.

The point was guns sold from the US to Mexico.
Thus further restricting gun purcahases after the News blitz of "American Guns supplied to Drug Dealers in Mexico"

I am not a fearful person so I don't need to carry a gun everywhere and my doors are usually unlocked anyway. Never had a problem here in NJ. I was robbed twice in CT and my car broken into 3 times in New Haven. Inconvenienced and annoyed, but not afraid. Life's too short to worry about that and having the death of someone on your conscience.

Nothing wrong with a little fear. It just shows you care about something.

And if someone wants to invade my home and pay the consequences with their life...there won't be much on my conscience other than to wonder if they were able to make peace with their creator before taking their last breath. horse

Statistics show that the chance of you doing that are very low for a home 'invasion' and even lower that you would be successful in killing them with your gun, that's fantasy cowboy sh*t. You have a better chance of winning the lottery.

Gun control is a waste of time. Only the honest folks would register their guns and they aren't the problem. The criminals and killers have no intention of registering any guns. Any administration that proposes such nonsense is using it as a scare tactic to convince weak minded folk that they are in danger. And, they also use it as a diversionary tactic to draw attention away from issues we really should be addressing. No real patriotic American would ask you to do such a thing because they know law abiding citizens are not the problem when it comes to guns. This is a very slippery slope that removes more rights...

Yes, Fuzz really has taken the entire glass of kool-aid and is not capable of understanding where we are headed as a nation. He has bought into the Obama "hope and change" machine and would believe just about anything this administration pushes. I don't think he has any idea just how dangerous and damaging Obama and his crew have been. Having said that, Bush or Romney or Perry or (insert R or D name here) aren't the answer either. I think Ron Paul hits closer to home than most. Yet, he has many weaknesses and flaws as well. Time to pick your poison boys and girls.

What in my posting history leads you to the conclusion that I have 'bought' 'hope and change'? Yes, I voted for him but I've said for years now he is not a change and just more of the same.

What laws or regulations has the Obama administration pursued regarding restricting gun ownership? None.

All this is black helicopter paranoia.

Statistics also show that most folk will never experience a home fire, so why waste money buying and maintaining smoke alarms?

With any luck it won't be one of your family members that ends up on your conscience because you couldn't / wouldn't defend them......I don't live in fear either BUT, the only good that law enforcement is gonna do me and mine is write up the report AFTER THE FACT!!! That just isn't good enough

With any luck no one I love would die in a plane/car crash, get hit by a meteor or get cancer too.

Why would you think I won't defend them and that I don't have a gun? I just don't live in fear worrying about being a victim needing to carry a gun around, unlike how I'm portayed here.

So, I guess using your logic, anyone wearing a seat belt is living in fear of an auto accident. Folks with smoke alarms in their homes live in fear of a fire. Those with life insurance are living in fear of death. Health insurance are for those living in fear of illness. Soap is only for those living in fear of germs.

Guns are tools, plain and simple. They can be used for recreation, to provide food, and to protect life. They can be an investment, a work of art, and a collector item. They can also be used by evil folk to do evil. Just like a hammer can be used to build a home, or to bash in a skull.

I would be willing to bet, that contrary to typical liberal assumptions, and all the Brandy Bunch propaganda you have read, very few here own their guns out of fear of any kind.

^ Those are helpful, precautionary "tools" oftentime required by laws meant to protect the least common denominator among us from themselves (innocents or nitwits who drink soup with forks) IMO. Helmets for skateboarders, smoke alarms in every other room- except for bathroom where they are really needed- car seats for 4 year olds, etc. It should be my right to opt for knee pads when I scoot or garden for that matter. Pheh...

I don't own a firearm. I don't have the fear either. I don't live in a ghetto and I wouldn't be able to stop (legally anyway) Government thugs from invading my home- even with loaded howitzer & landmines .

Funny thing is, I thought about joining a militia a while back during the Slick Willy era, but there are many more pressing issues these days like maintaining income flow, eating, and keeping a home to protect.

Knock yourselves out if you want to add to your bazooka collection. I don't begrudge that.
It's a free country.... I know, I know, you wanna keep it that way.

Look, if I cannot stop folks from violating me or my family with my hands or brains... I'm just not going to fantasize about turning into Arnold Schwarzenegger or Charles Bronson in my mind. The reality is that many of us of us are really Peewee Hermans or blustering Fred G. Sanfords at heart. Besides, I can stop 'em cold with my good looks. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

IMHO, guns will be an absolute necessity only if society completely breaks down into chaos. However, if that happens will you REALLY be prepared to be a "survivalist" and live without creature comforts, family, and friends? I've tried "survival camping" (got an award too) and believe me it's not what it's cracked up to be. LOL!!

Florida senior citizen shoots, kills suspected burglar

Published January 12, 2012

A senior citizen in Florida shot dead a would-be burglar at his home early Thursday morning as the suspect was trying to gain entry into the Daytona Beach home, MyFoxOrlando.com reports.

The 82-year-old homeowner woke up at 6 a.m. after hearing someone at his backdoor, the report said. He armed himself with a .45 automatic and fired a single shot through the door, the report said. The suspected burglar was hit in the abdomen and likely died minutes later.

The suspect was described as a white male in a ski mask who was carrying a hammer and screwdriver at the time of the shooting. Police have tentatively identified the suspect as the man wanted for other burglaries in the neighborhood, the report said.

“The 82-year-old resident did something that the criminal justice system couldn’t do,” said Mike Chitwood, the chief of Daytona Beach police. “And that’s put this burglar out of business this morning.”

I was standing in line today at Taco Bell when some knucklehead started getting loud. The cat just didn't look right but he never really made a threat. About 90 seconds in I realized I had unconciously slipped my right hand into my coat pocket and wrapped it around my Kel-tec P-11. I felt like a paranoid boob and took my hand out of my pocket as I slipped my left hand into my other pocket and wrapped it around the butt of my S&W 642.

It is a good thing that burglar died. Can you imagine breaking into to a house and getting shot by an 82 year old man and surviving?

After receiving medical attention and while out and bail, the burglar would have to go back to the burglar union hall and face the ridicule from all the other burglars because he got shot by an 82 year old. That would be brutal.
