If you've been on these boards for any length of time, you KNOW how I feel about the Miami 8&11's.
A few weeks ago, I get a PM from CROS telling me his local had a FULL BOX on the shelf the last time he was in, and would I be interested ? He said he wasn't sure how many would be left by the time he got back, but to let him know.
I told him to I would be interested in any and all. His reply was,
"I hope you're serious about that, because I already picked up the entire box. I didn't want to chance them being sold before I heard back from you."I couldn't believe it. He and I had not had any contact on the boards before this and he goes and, before getting an affirmative answer from me, lays out a TON of $$$ from his own pocket, just because he doesn't want me to miss out on this opportunity.
I was absolutely floored that he would do something like that for me, but as I've said in the past, many, many times . . . This place NEVER fails to amaze me !
"Not a problem, brother", I told him. " Just send me your addy so I can get a check in the mail to you.
I sent him the $$$, along with a meager Padilla sampler as a Thank You.
Well, today, the 8&11's showed up. But did he send JUST the box ? Nooooooooooo !
Along with the 20 8&11's, there was a fiver.
