Got finished with Aerosmith's newest..."Music From Another Dimension!"

Think

I think the dimension they were in when they recorded that mess was CRAP!

The nicest thing I can say about it is...well...the drummer sounds great!

I'm serious too.

Tyler's vocals are completely shot. The band is playing Drop D exclusively and he can't hit a high one in all of it. A duet with Carrie Underwood has to be the most embarrasing thing on there.

Joe? Well, Joe simply forgot what a solo sounded like. Its so mailed in and sounds like ZERO effort was put in on his part.

This was supposed to be a return to "classic" Aerosmith as it was billed. It's NOT! Unless you think "Love In An Elevator" is "classic" Aerosmith! There isn't one "Sick As A Dog", "Walk This Way", "Mama Kin" or "Season of a Wither" on this hot mess of slop they crapped out.

Save your money...if you want a cd of music by a band that wanted to go back in time and recapture a "classic" sound...pick up KISS's "Monster". That one doesn't suck like Aerosmith's! KISS actually put effort into their recording effort!

Lately it's been The Tragically Hip's new album - Now For Plan A. Also, just about everything else I can get my hands on by them. It ALL kicks ass. Just caught them live a few nights ago and it ranks with the best shows I've ever seen. Them Canadians make some pretty fine music.ThumpUp

The new Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Psychedelic Pill"...what a great album!

Was listening to the new Wallflowers earlier...

Neil & Crazy Horse...STILL have gas in the tank...I hope they tour too on this latest...what a great send off this would be for them.

Driftin' Back

The Wallflowers have ...evolved...into something between the Rolling Stones and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers...worthy of a listen!

I suppose it matter that Mick Jones (Foreigner) played on this too!

Listened to the preview of 13 tracks on iTunes. Seems kinda resampled without the wow of badmotofinger or superunknown. Gonna pass on the $15 on iTunes. Pick it up in a few weeks on disc for $8 at a store.

Previews never do the track justice IMO.

But, I will wait as well. I'm still excited to see them back!
