Rick, calm down, take deep breaths. We are here for you buddy. I know the snakes are on the wall but look at them. Aren't they really cute? Here smoke some of this. It will take the edge off. No don't worry about the tilting floor, just think of it as a ride at the amusement park.

Damn, I haven't had to do this since college...69

Rick, I thought you were gonna start smoking "good cigars". Aging will not improve any of that batch.

Yes Virgina, there are good deals at c-bid.

Those are CRAP cigars. The kind you hand out to moochers. The kind of smoke that newbies rant about.

The only good thing about THAT list is that you'll ALWAYS get a "good" deal!

before you all criticise, too late, have any of you smoked any of these? i am looking forward to a bad frog after my next meal of grits and gravy, or chicken fried steak, or if i am lucky enough to find a restaurant that can make ham hocks and lima beans.

While I might not have bid agains Rick on his choices, I do agree that there are no shortage of worthwhile items to bid on every day here ... last time this subject came up, I counted no fewer than a dozen and a half (IMHO) bargains that were to close that same day ... I didn't do such a count today, but have never gone into any of the auction categories and failed to find more stuff I wanted to bid on than I had means to do so with ...

I got a free sample of Bad Frog a couple of years back.Gotta be one of the worst cigars ever made. Lone Wolf is like Opus X compared to these...

Rick, been a while since I lived in your area. I like the greasy spoons too man! There was a "Family" restaurant on Beach Blvd. between Westminster and Knot aves. I liked. I also used to enjoy The Bonanza in Long Beach on....Anaheim? Or was it PCH? Breakfasts with names like "the Lumberjack" and "The Longshoreman". Good ribstickin' food. The waitresses always call you Hon'and bring you endless cups of coffee to nurse that evil hangover. Nothing like homefries and biscuits and gravy to settle that queasy day after stomach. They had a great chicken fried steak too. Can't find food like that around here. Memphis BBQ is great but the breakfasts suck! Shot off on a tangent. Sorry!

I haven't tried any of those on the list up there. I'm still having a hard time with the $5 for a Lone Wolf.

"Lone Wolf Signature Toro" sounds like a well dressed turd. Sort of like "AMC Pacer Sport Coupe".

I see bundles going for as low as $16 for decent long-fillers. If you come here hoping for AVO, CAO, Perdomo bids to end at that sorta price; WAKE UP, YOU ARE DELUDING YOURSELF!!

Rick, had my second acid knockoff tonight. Used your method and they sat for about 3 and half months. Turned a St. Charles Torano and a Maxim into a great smoke. BTW, I mentioned this method to a Drew Estate rep awhile back and she wasn't pleased. Keep your eyes open...they might come looking for you.

Rick, I want to thank you for introducing me to Montague's; howecver, I don't think any of that trssh you wasted your money on has any hidden gems within! Bad Frogs or Dead Toads or Smelley Snakes, they all sound quite horrible!

Seeing the Black Helicopters are you? Beware!!

X, the resturant you are referring to was called the Buena Vista ( I believe) and served monster portions of everything! It is gone and a hotel is on that corner!

AMC Pacer Sport Coupe!? LMAO! Kind of like Ford Escort, GT. I totally agree with "a good cigar is one you like", I had an Opus X a few weeks ago and I really didn't care for it that much. I also really liked the Montesino Negra Cubana and most people said it's not very good.

FredS, everybody will agree the Opus X while quite costly is a very good cigar! Not sure why you didn't like the one you had, but that is why ice cream comes in lots of flavors--all about choices! Rick normally makes better decisions on cigars than the trash he ordered at "such a deal"! Chuckle and laughing! LMFAO!

Charlie

PS I think the Napa Reserve, Canary Island, is about as good as anyone can find! Thanks Slimboli for your generous trade!
