Obama’s Lit Agency Used 'Born in Kenya' Bio Until 2007 - Uh oh

Breitbart News has obtained a promotional booklet produced in 1991 by Barack Obama's then-literary agency, Acton & Dystel, which touts Obama as "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

The booklet, which was distributed to "business colleagues" in the publishing industry, includes a brief biography of Obama among the biographies of eighty-nine other authors represented by Acton & Dystel.

It also promotes Obama's anticipated first book, Journeys in Black and White--which Obama abandoned, later publishing Dreams from My Father instead.

Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.

Must be a typo...

Nah, it's much more important to the nation that a Republican front-runner cut some classmate's hair about 50 years ago.

You just wait till mini-elder stomps in here and reads this...after he pops a handful of nitro pills, wakes back up and steps back up on his potty stool his head is going to explode!

I can't wait to see his jibberish childish ramblings spilled out here for CBid to witness.

This HAS to be clearly racially profilling. They're going right to the man on this one. Yeah, next think they'll have shorty serving the officers lemonade and iced tea!!! Oh, good times...good times. Who doesn't like getting served some fine refreshments by an unwitting rube? Why later on in life he's going to be chomping at the bit, calling all women c u n t s, wearing Santa hats thinking he's been screwed when the joke was on him at the moment..."Do as I say...NOW little man!"...bahahahahahahahaa! Why I bet he's so pissed he's going to stop washing windows! Who knows...he might set up a tarp in his back yard and string up Christmas lights and play with blow up monkeys and pretend he's back with his pack! Stranger things have happened...stranger things have happened.

I think Ric "Nature Boy" Flair said it best when he said: "Whooooooooo!"...you be the judge!

I really hate when these stupid stories show up on the news and they actually try to make it political. If it was just a funny/interesting tidbit, fine, but trying to act as if it should have some affect on their ability to act as president is a sick joke.

- Obama ate dog
- Obama made a girl cry when he was young
- Romney took a road trip with the dog in a crate on the roof of his car
- Romney cut a girls hair

The parties and talking heads dredge up this crap to deflect attention from the real issues so they won’t have to deal with real problems that we have. And the band played on...

Who is "trying" to make it political?
It instantly BECOMES political as soon as it is introduced.

Being from Massachusetts, I am friends and family with more than my share of liberal minded folks. And let me tell you, they take these stories to heart.
They claim that putting a dog on the roof shows lack of judgement and lack of character.
Nevermind that Obama was friends with a terrorist and got married by a racist minister. Romney took a family vacation and brought his dog along in a seemingly dangerous fashion so HE is the anti-christ.

This is where the left lose me.
Sure, we hear the same crap from the right, but for the most part it comes across in a humorous fashion.
Nobody is spewing vitriol when the talk about Obama eating Fido.
Meanwhile, the liberals use Rush Limbaugh as proof positive that the GOP hate women.

Despite my unabashed bias, the public outcry is more one-sided than most of the fence dwellers care to admit.

I haven't read the link from the OP. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

Unbiased?
Sorry to confuse you with words such as "unabashed bias". I can see how this would lead you to believe that I was going for "unbiased".

As for "truthful"?
You better believe it.

Find something in my post that isn't honest and truthful, and point it out so we can discuss the specifics rather than your general outburst of no substance.
Of course, you'll have to pardon my hyperbole. I'm sure many liberals don't consider Romney the anti-christ. In fact they may consider that an endearing term...

There are so many laughable opinions in this post its un-real.

#1. I love how everything that comes out about Obama is played off by the left as "meh, nothing to see here" but anything from the GOP should be investidated to the full extent

#2. teebubbya still playing the "i'm a republican but don't like my party so that gives me street cred to bash them and I have a bromance with GW " role. Plus thinking Romney doesn't like these stories when in reality he's fine with them but as long as he denounces them he can reap the benefits both ways...

#3. The left still thinking that these stories don't have some impact on people on the fence because regardless of what you believe Barry Soetoros up bringing in a complety different country shaped his views which have nothing to do with Amercian values and views. But none of this should matter to the left. The ends justifies the means.

#2 worked for me, I like Romneys approach and agree with it. I don't know how sincere it is or not...aparently you know more about how he thinks than I. If it is sincere good on him. If it isn't, it is still smarter than the idots in here that don't get that. I intend to vote for him at this point. The only thing that could change that is if he goes all moron with this type of nonsense.... which to my releif it appears he will not. While it may make folks like you feel like you are touching yourself its just bad strategy.

Not touching myself YET over it. Just noting how things like this matter to people and should. And to blow it off as nuts or moron or crazy is in itself moronic just because you don't buy it. I can think of millions of black americans that could have been the first POTUS and this is the guy that people chose first. I guess we could say right time right place, I tend to think MTV culture. It's just sad because it should have been the character of the person. Unfortunately he's a character alright just in the wrong way.

I personally do not know millions of people let alone millions of black people so I really couldn't tell you millions who would be better *shrug* you just know more people than I do.

Old issue. The dog won't hunt. Definition of insanity.... any other over used cliches... whatever makes the fireman spit. knock yourself out. It's just a losing strategy. Didn't seem to work last time, won't this time. Luckily I think Romney gets it.... unless he gets desperate and stupid later.... lets hope not.

I think Barry is beatable based on his failed policies etc. but maybe this Kenya thing will work out better this time.

You got me. I don't know millions of black americans. Just a few. I was just going with the population numbers and basing it on the fact any other black american or a ham sandwich would be better then this idiot. Some moreso then others.

If proper vetting had taken place it would be an old issue. And you and I both know that didn't happen last time and it was still a small margin against a very weak opponent. I agree his record will result in a landslide win for Romney but this is more about america doing its job when they make someone the POTUS. I guess we'll just disagree. No problem in that.

We elected GWB for a second term even when he had already demonstrated he was inept and dangerous. A crappy candidate and swift boating took care of that. So I could see how you would think this is the route to take, and why you think proper vetting does not occur. You are correct in that regard.

For the record, while I may not know millions of black people I know a few and am friends with one thus I am immune from being called racist. It's like a MMR without all the risk!

What you mean WE, paleface. I jumped ship for the first time ever & voted AGAINST that corrupt nincompoop. For shame, you lemming.
Plan to do the same against Obama. First time voting since dubya's second term.

One thing that really bothers me about the media is that it doesn't investigate Obama's birth/medical records, transcripts, & previous history in general as they do against Romney. Just think, we now know that Romney snipped a HS guy's bleached curls... Next, we'll find out that he was wearing magic Mormon underpants on his head when he downed 6 shots of Jagermeister at the Ratzkeller.

Spot on. Same kind of argument when people say Clinton 'got away' with the Lewinski thing. He was impeached, he didn't 'get away' with anything.

The right wing over swings constantly then wonders why no one believes them the next time they cry 'wolf'. Not every thing is a national emergency, breaking news or a conspiracy.

Lewinsky wasn't why Clinton got impeached.
He got impeached for obstruction of justice and perjury related to the Paula Jones case.

If I recall, the abuse-of-power charges from the Lewinsky debacle never stuck.

Clinton was being investigated for crimes that, if they were committed towards your wife or daughter or someone you knew, you'd want him behind bars if found guilty. And if not guilty, then why commit perjury?
He chose to lie and perjured himself and deserved to be impeached.

Plus, he let a fat chick suck his willy while leader of the free world. At least Kennedy banged Marilyn.

No. He was asked about Lewinski in the Paula Jone case, information found out through the special counsil investigation into whitewater. He was not truthful about having ever been alone with Lewinksi and getting a ****. For this he was impeached. He was not impeached for obstruction of justice and he was only impeached in the house.

I do. I may not like him and realize most in here don't either but yes I think he was vetted. He went through a national election which is a pretty nasty vetting process.

You can't run for that office without it. Not possible. It showed palin for what she is but folks scream its not fair etc. whatever. it's fair and everyone running for that office gets it.

Folks get so caught up on the mainstream leftie media... blah blah blah... if there was a smoking gun in barry's past it would have been out by now. The mainstream conservitives would make sure of it but the right wing wackos would certainly make sure of it. They try to make sure of it even when it's not true and the dog won't hunt.

Don't mistake wanting something to be true with it being true. And never underestimate $$ and how they can break down any political idology. If there is money to be made folks would sell him out in a minute. The media has no morals or pricipals. We act as if the leftie media somehow is a hyper disiplined machine. Nonsense. They are weasles and don't have that kind of grit.

We know about his evil pastor that married him, the tea parties he had with terrorists, the fact he was born in kenya, that he has the irish curse, his dad is a russian carnie, he is a muslim born in area 51, he is the antichrist, etc...etc.......... the fact that the mainstream media isn't talking about that stuff more is proof that they are in cahoots with him.

We also knew GWB did coke (so what), was a so-so student, took us into an unnecessary war, ruined our economy etc. He was vetted too. We just elected a dolt because the other candidate was worse and through his medals away. We elected another dolt because we realized the mistake we made with bush's second term and the old man from AZ panicked and chose caribo barbie as his running mate without vetting HER.

Don't mistake not liking the Prez for lack of vetting. It's all out there. Even the stuff that isn't true. Some folks listen to it (even the stuff that isn't true) and some don't.

But he is vetted. In this day and age there is no way not to. If he **** his pants it will be on twitter in 3.5 seconds.

You just don't like him and can't beleive anyone would vote for him knowing all the "facts" that you do. I can relate. I spent over 4 years felling the same way about Bush. The big O sucks but we know what we got.
