As I said many times before.
Ron Paul is a scum bag Politician like all the rest.

He released his delegates to Romney. Told his supporters to behave themselves.

Alex Jones is livid...

So,
Pot will be illegal forever now...

d'oh!

This generation has become soft and lazy with their drug usage. I remember an America that took pride in their drug taking, not this 'I don't take drugs, it's a prescription' bullsh*t. C'mon and buck up you slackers. The Chinese are killing us!

Could be that Paul believes voting out Obama is more important than having his base populate the usual conscientious objector category.

Also he is retiring and knows its rigged against him. He's pushing his son forward and passing the torch to him.

Because if there is one thing this country needs, it's another familial political dynasty.

Not in the least. I'm actually surprised a home schooled kid doesn't win every year.

I fully support; and can even go as saying I am a strong advocate for homeschooling. BTW, I was homeschooled, and now am active in politics (and Cigar smoking :D)... I hate the Government, and Pupblic Schools, however, Ron Paul is sending the wrong message. e is for zero government... and is morally sick. I, being Catholic, cannot simply line up with the "Paulinian" POV.

E is morally sick how?

Does freedom always scare you?

You should try reading a book. Its a square shaped thingamajigger with pages of paper that have writting on them. Dr Paul has written a few of these things. He's quite clear about what level of gov't is acceptable and its happens to be more than zero.

Disagree all you want, but if your view of his beliefs is wrong than your opinion is either misconception or lazy ignorance.

Do you live in Frisco by chance?

Because, as we all know, that is the only other option. Think like Z or be lazy and ignorant. We're all here to learn from people like him. It's a struggle, but we are all hoping to grow up and be just like him.

We don't have to worry about Paul anymore. Now his supporters will either stay strong in a movement or destroy each ther with infighting. Ideas exist without a figurehead.

I have always worried that he was not willing to defend the country. Plus legalizing drugs is a terrible idea.

Fuzzy, where ia he correct? Paul has never advocated for NO gov't. He has said he encourages as LITTLE gov't as necessary.

I know...

but RP is a Pork King, which really isn't " Less Govt

Ron Paul runs political ads targeting Rick Santorum, accusing him of being a "fake" fiscal conservative. He criticizes Santorum's use of congressional earmarks, but Paul himself has put in for over half a billion dollars in earmarks for his district in the past two fiscal years.

First, the facts, via the American Independent:

For FY 2011, Rep. Paul submitted requests for 41 earmarks worth $157,093,544. The previous year, he submitted 54 earmarks totaling a whopping $398,460,640, including $2.5 million for a redevelopment project in Baytown, Texas. Among the essential public services that the earmark would finance were "trash cans…and decorative street lighting."

In the last Republican debate, John King asked Paul to explain his charge against Santorum. A smiling Paul said, "Because he's a fake."

He explained that Santorum portrays himself as fiscally conservative, but in the Senate, he voted to expand federal spending. Paul claimed that he himself had only voted for one appropriations bill in his congressional career, legislation that funded veterans programs. Later in the debate, he honed in on Santorum's record of voting for earmarks for his home state Pennsylvania.

The problem with Paul's attacks on Santorum's record of earmarks is that it is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. It also elucidates Paul's hypocrisy.

Santorum is a proponent of big government and a defender of earmarks, though he makes a distinction between "good" and "bad" earmarks. Reo, Paul, on the other hand, pretends that he is completely against earmarks while continuing to exploit the earmark process to bring home the bacon to his own district, a practice he allegedly deplores.

Paul lards up spending bills with pork via earmarks for his Texas district, knowing that the spending bill will pass, then votes against it. He then piously claims he is against pork barrel spending, a practice he has mastered. When called out on it, he claims he's lassoing tax dollars his Texans have sent to Washington, corralling them to be driven back to his district like so many cattle rustled by black-hatted government badmen.

Paul was one of only four Republicans to ask for earmarks in the 2011 budget, according to the American Independent. The House Republican Conference voted on extending its voluntary ban on earmarks in November 2010, but Paul ignores it.

Ron Paul has exposed himself as not only being a "fake" fiscal conservative himself but a hypocrite.

Paul, IMO, never wanted to win or is so tone deaf to the basic qualities that people need/want in a leader
that he did not deserve to win.

There is a "lift your head up high and blow your brains out" mentality with all of these people.

Z, if you really want to have a serious conversation about politics, overall political thought or a specific policy, I'm all for it.

I won't have a serious conversation with someone who says they don't agree with Ron Paul and your response is 'Why do you hate freedom?'

It would be like me saying "oh, you like Ron Paul? You must be a drug addict."

How productive would a conversation like that be?

I'll respond sarcastically with the normal north-eastern limousine liberal elite persona I've perfectly cultivated here and mock you until the last latte of the day, but serious? Ha!

Edit: Removed an extra 'the' 'the the' was a band, but wasn't intended to be referred to in this post. fuzznj regrets the error.

I'd tell you, but you wouldn't recognize the car, because it's imported, rare and way out of your price range. for you to even know it exists would be cruel as it is such a luxury that once you lay your eyes upon it, it will consume your every thought and you will do nothing but try to possess one. It will become your precious as it were. So the answer is no, not a stretch Subaru, but something much nicer than that dream car of yours you mentioned. Just go to bed and dream knowing that the job creators are safe and comfortable when being transported to and from the club.
