I don't think they will go that far. The "FPS Russia", guy would be out of a job. Ever seen his YouTube vids? Good stuff, and a poor fake accent, lol.
I wont be able to kick my g-mail, I use it too much. I did however, already delete my Google+ account, along with FB a while ago.

I did, and it was odd. I felt like I was out of the loop for a while, and I am. Matter O fact, my buddy just called to say his wife saw on FB, that there was an open invitation to my other friends house tonight for a party. He knows I dumped the FB, and he never signed up. Just got so sick of seeing all the crap posted on a daily basis. The security changes, etc.. Go make your money off someone else.
Oh yeah, got rid of the MySpace account too. lol

The article says that it's restricting "The change affects the firm's "Google Shopping" function" which is different from the search function. I don't agree with it either but who actually uses the google shopping function to shop for guns anyways? You can still search away but can't buy them from a google sponsored website.

It does change the web search too it doesn't show retailers on the first page
