Hi! I'm Fred and I live in Hawaii. I've been smoking cigars for about a year now but my budget prevents me from trying the more expensive stuff. Fortunately my local cigar shop has cigar-smokes every so often and I have very generous friends (Thanks again Dennis and Gunter!). Just wanted to introduce myself to the general group and perhaps solicit advice on good cigars for a modest budget. I prefer more robust/full-bodied cigars...

Welcome Fred. Try the El Rico Habana's, full flavor at a modest price!

Welcome to the group Fred. I did a lot of lurking before popping in to make an intro. Glad I did, you will be too.

My tastes run milder, but there's a lot of others here who like it rough (so to speak). Welcome!

welcome fred, and no matter what they say, the hawaiian girl (coffee flavored, sort of) cigars aren't that bad. at least not like a lone wolf.

Howdy Fred,

Have you tryed the Partagas Black label? The bravo is not to bad in price and a hella good full body full flav. smoke! It wont over power you till you stand up and fall over. NO JOKE, but well worth it!!

GIG'EM,

DAN

Welcome Fred.

For a full-bodied inexpensive smoke, I'd suggest La Rosa Especial Mi Favorita maduro. They come up for bid often.

Welcome Fred. Try soms Habana Gold Black Lables. Or
the Knock off of Padron Annaversarios. They are just 2
of many to bid on here. Read the descriptions on the
auctions. They are pretty honest evaluations I have found.Mag

you can find the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 for a good price here and other places. You probably won't find a more full bodied smoke in it's price range.

Thanks for all the recommendations, y'all, I'll certainly give these a try. Why does everyone rip on Lone Wolf's so much? I've got a single on the way (in the El Cheapo bid), I'll let you know how it is...

We all know how bad the Lone Wolf happens to be! Try 5 Vegas for a reasonable and very nice cigar, another one would be Mayorga!

Throw the Lone Wolf away, about the only good thing to be said about them is that they have an attractive band!
