Televangelist Pat Robertson on Thursday cautioned his viewers to think twice before adopting disadvantaged children that had been sexually abused or deprived of food because they could grow up “weird.”

During Thursday’s edition of The 700 Club co-host Kristi Watts read a letter from a woman who wanted to know why men stopped dating her when they learned that she had adopted three daughters from three different countries.

“Can I answer?” Watts asked. “I was going to say because they’re dogs. … That’s just wrong on every level.”


“No, it’s not wrong,” Robertson disagreed. “A man doesn’t want to take on the United Nations, and this woman’s got all these various children and blended family. What is it?”

The TV preacher then told a story about his “dear friend” who had adopted a son with brain damage and the boy “grew up weird.”

“You just never know what’s been done to a child before you get that child,” he explained. “What kind of sexual abuse, what kind of cruelty, what kind of food deprivation, etc., etc., etc.”

“So, you’re not a dog because you don’t want to take on that responsibility,” Robertson added. “You don’t have to take on somebody else’s problems.”

“OK, let’s get to the next question. I’m in trouble"

he should have said the only reason they are adopting these mutts is to cultivate the democratic base and it should be forbidden then he should have broke out in song.... a chick-fil-a ditty or somethin

I am adopted and I actually married a non white foriener and raised her two kids as my own.....

and my birth name is Barry, my birth certificate is not original and according to sherrif joe's rules my birth cert is a fraud.

but at least I get to choose between a mexican morman and a kenyan muslim to be out next prez!

I am not kidding though..... my birth certificate is perfectly legit but to Sherriff Joe and many in here it would not be. It doesn't have 27 layers or whatever nonsense they say.... it was amended and is not original... the original is not available to me.... my name really was Barry (middle and last name were different too). If you could get the original there would be a different name for me, and the birth parents....... and the official document (not the original) was modified about a year after birth.

that aside... forgetting the adoption... the cert itself is the state's standard cert but every state is differnt. that long form short form crap is nonsense. what people called the obama short form is almost exactly the long form (and only form available) in my case.


sillyness.

I can't run for prez anyway so it's no worry.... all because of one incident in Reno...... you do something kinky one time and you are branded for life....

unless you are a clinton.
