The Libs ate giddy with delight that this storm might disrupt the GOP convention. I wonder if Tampa Dems are just as excited?

I hope all the people in the pass of this storm will be safe. So far it looks like a Cat One, but still ...

BS FLAG!

If you don't think FEMA is ready to roll and Air Force One is stocked up with engines warmed up for a flyover to inspect damage, you are incredibly naive! Opportunities like this don't just come along every day.

Based on current forecasts the RNC cocktail party should be able to happen. It will just be a rain and wind event because the Republicans have pushed the storm offshore and towards New Orleans......again.

We haven't had time to plant the bundles of dynamite on the New Orleans levees.

The conventions have been a sad joke for years. At least this storm adds a bit of drama to these non-events. I just hope that it doesn't cause any damage or loss of life in Tampa. fog

Conventions are a virtual dumping ground for flyover state people.

This time its the Tampa landfills that get the beads...bad hats...funny sunglasses and those wacky folks that stand up to clap at every pause when someone speaks!

YYYYEEEEEE-ah, that's why the Democrats are planning on events coinciding with the GOP Convention, in violation of long standing tradition of each party allowing the other center stage during "their week".

That's out of sheer desperation!

They cannot run on their track record...it's that damn bad!

They can't put Joe out there anymore because now they wised up that he really is stupid and is doing damage. Debbie "Sgt." Wassermann-Schultz??? She's even worse! She's like a retarded parrot!

Besides...you see the turnout numbers for the Kenyan King and Plugs? Joe pulled in something like 60 people...Owedumba said the other day he is doing a more "intimate" campaign stop this time...no ya fool...America is DONE with you!

You gotta go offshore for tuna. Boats and hurricanes don't mix well.

Yeah! Now if Teresa Heinz-Kerry would just tell her hubby his hobby is too damned expensive, I'll feel as if I've accomplished something!

Praying that there is no loss of life, or major damage, from the storm.

I am sure the strippers, and hookers will make good money over the next week regardless.

I don't eat chicken, that I didn't personally raise, anymore. I understand the political reason that you brought up Chick-Fil-A, but I never liked their Chicken. If I had to choose a favorite fast food chicken, back when I did eat mass produced chicken, it was definitely Popeyes. When you grow your own birds, you know exactly what they eat, and what kind of, meds, hormones, etc. that they haven't been given. I have spent most of my life, surrounded by the poultry industry. I might make my living working for them, but I don't eat their products. I bet, if you had some of the Rhode Island Red, that I fried up last Sunday, you would remember what good chicken tastes like. The mass produced chickens, have had all the flavor bred right out of them. And Ketchup?? That stuff is for people who really need to cover up the flavor of the crap they are eating, and in some cases, it is the only flavor of the crap they are eating.

Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)

P.S. I bet some of you guys forgot, how much of an opinionated asshat I can be.

Hell Homie, I believe every word of this post! I've often wished I had a piece of land big enough to raise a few cattle, some hogs and some chickens on. I like Popeye's too, but my wife isn't into spicy chit :-( I do a MEAN Chicken Fried Steak, and ketchup is for losers who didn't make enough GRAVY!

I make my own gravy, TYVM, if I DO buy it, see my post on my personal boycott, Heinz is far from a 'sole supplier'

Yeah gravy mix sucks. It is necessary sometimes, if there aren't enough drippings for the servings you need. But scratch gravy is the Bomb Diggity.
