The Myth of Fiscal Conservatism, and Social Liberalism

People who are fiscally conservative and socially liberal delude themselves.

It's like a guy who consorts with hookers, but will refuse to pay to have sex with them.

His wife may not like him consorting with hookers, but he is being faithful to her. So what's the harm?

The reality is that the longer you consort with prostitutes, you'll eventually end up paying for their services. It is human nature. So then you've gone from a social liberal only, to a full blown liberal in word and deed. Because once YOU'VE paid for the prostitute, who are you to condem someone else for doing the same thing, even wrecklessly?

How you spend your money is invariably linked to your beliefs and morality.

Beware the trap of being "socially liberal."

I'm sorry the hookers keep taking all your money. Hope things get better for you.

JPotts.

So how do you differentiate libertarian conservatives from christian conservatives that seem to favor govt. intervention into private matters?

Sorry bud, full blown fiscal conservative and civil libertarian here.

And I don't pay for ****.

Ok, I mean, I got married, so I guess I do. Just with the whole shelter and food thing rather than a cash transaction. Dammit! I should have just hired prostitutes.

Ya got me!

This whole post is based on a false premise. In what way would "consorting with hookers" be "being faithful to your wife"?
How does that comport with the idea that if marijuana were legalized, that somehow that is equivalent with being ok with big government? Your logic isn't flawed... it's non-existent!

I am socially Liberal, and fiscally conservative.
Silly feller, you don't pay prostitutes for sex, you pay them to leave.
