Got the lotion and tissues ready... I honestly love watching the R and DNC. I know it's a lot of frills and chest thumping but as an independent it's a chance to continue shaping my opinion about the candidates. At the very least I can become that much more informed imo.

Police in the airport got new uniforms. A cool tactical look. TSA inspectors are walking around with sidearms and badges even!

What's the over/under on how many minutes it takes Christie to tell someone to shut up or call them an idiot?

I don't think Palin WANTED to be there. She out campaigning for candidates who are Republicans, but not sellouts or posers.

How would she know? Her only job is to look cute and milfy while doing what she's told. For that she gets paid.

If you were hott as hell and A-1 MILF, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable rack that you have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a huge rack, a thin waistline and a booty that guys would line up to strare -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

Mom is disappointed Christie didn't blast O'bama
and get the convention riled up.

My brother said that Christie is such a powerful
speaker that Mitt asked him to tone it down, so
Romney would look strong when he speaks.

God I hate this political CRAP!

It is about as exciting and entertaining as the Dems' will be next week.

Anyone see the PBS interview of the guy speaking for the delegates who walked out over the Ron Paul issue? He was talking about starting a new party...

The Democrat Convention should be a hoot! They're starting out with a muslim prayer meeting. I hear the theme is Have a Jihadi-Hadji-Holiday!

One word of note, there seems to be a bit of consternation as the muslims wont wear the pork-pie hats, no matter WHO assures them they are 100% styrofoam! And there's a major fracas over the party platform as they want a promise the Democrats will stop spending on pork! (I could have fun with THIS all day long!)

Z you are preachin to dead ears in here....

"What the Republican National Committee did to Ron Paul was the height of rudeness and stupidity for this reason: Why would you alienate an individual who has the ability to attract a new generation of voters, who are already skeptical of your institution but are willing to at least listen through the vehicle of this individual and the words that he is saying? Why would you alienate them, get on the floor and not let them speak? Not have his name go up on the board and see the number of electoral votes that he receives? This is crazy!"

iffin the party machine says the sky is green than it is. Period.

CSPAN has been playing past RNC and DNC speeches. Holy crap, some of these make the mud slinging of today look like childs play. Watched Trumans last night and you'd thought he was personally gonna kill anyone who uttered the word republican.
