Members of the 'Greatest Generation.'

For those too young too remember; here is a photo of the The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France memorializing the fallen US soldiers of the D-Day Invasion to retake Europe from the Nazis.

The large white areas in the photo are created by thousands of white crosses and Star of David grave markers:

There is also a D-Day Monument in Bedford , VA ... a relatively short 200 mile helicopter ride from the White House:

In all the years since D-Day 1945, there are only three occasions when the sitting President of the United States of America failed to go to the D-Day Monument that honors the soldiers killed during the Invasion.

Only Three Times...
The occasions were:
1. Barack Obama 2010
2. Barack Obama 2011
3. Barack Obama 2012

For the past 68 years, every single president, except Obama, have paid tribute to the fallen American soldiers killed on D-Day.

This year, instead of honoring the soldiers, he made a 3,000 mile campaign trip on Air Force 1 to California to raise funds for the upcoming election. Priorities?
It speaks volumes... doesn't it?

Epic fail, I know it's hard to come to grips but it is what it is. Your hope and change has brought out the worst this country has to offer in the way of politics, if I were you I would be ashamed, but we no libs have no shame.

Kills you to know you made yet another mistake don't it? You're right about one thing: it is what it is. And, what it is is your endorsing the erroneous original post.
Now, You can't argue the original point so make your attack about a different issue or, better yet: use name calling, that's your go to move.
You were wrong. You know it and so soes everyone else.

I disagree completely. the state of politics in this country started going downhill almost 15 years ago and has gotten worse since. And, it's every one's fault, not any President's.

Well in the interest of fairness, even though I wasn't much of a fan of the man, I personally stood on Utah Beach less than two feet away from Presidet Clinton on June 6th 1994.

He gave a pretty good speech.

So despite RIFing half the force (give or take) while doubling our OPTEMPO he is an Arkie, and we Arkies show respect to our service members. I am forced to admit he was very gracious and seemed genuinely emotional as he shook hands with D-Day veterans and listened to their stories. Even after being booed by a substantial number of them upon arrival.

Actually, the brainchild of Karl Rove, subsequently adopted by both major parties.

Yes, it kind of s*cks when Conservatives take a page out of the Dem's Play Book. Shame on you Drafter. Only Dems are allowed to use those tactics.

Not sure why you quoted my post. We might even be in agreement that those tactics don't belong in either sides' playbook. BTW, I think Drafter already said "oops" and moved on.

Rush limpbaugh, made it alright to hate your brother, uncle, or anyone that does not agree with your views. No, he made it your duty to hate them. What he started has infected both parties. Unless both sides can begin to see this we are circling the drain

This thread is a perfect example of why President Obama should be re-elected.
