Per the CI site this cigar was rated "the finest in the world"....by Maxim and American Airlines. That explains the high bids.

I own the Maxim issue that has this cigar featured. The article does in fact rave very highly about the Gurkha. You gotta love Maxim, especially when the subscription is free.

My girlfriend won some raffle, and received a free 2 year subscription to any two magazines on a list that was given to her. Soooo, she chose Maxim and People. Gotta love'er!

I smoke one of these once per year (the wife loves them) and around here (Hawaii) we pay about $20 each. It's just a cigar that's "super-infused" with Louis 13 cognac. That cognac is supposedly give-you-a-heart-attack-when-you-see-the-bar-tab expensive, but it's not like you get drunk from smoking the thing. You know? Frankly I think they're overrated.

These things are currently retailing for around $40. a stick, if you can find them, that's insane. I see these prices and I hear Rick's voice saying "rolled up dead leaves" "rolled up dead leaves". Let's see, approximately 1 hour smoking time - approximately 2 puffs a minute - around 33 cents a puff. I'm not sure I could enjoy it. I wonder if Bill Gates smokes cigars?

Sorry, these only go fo $30. a stick. Can anyone forgive me. However, there is currently a gar up for bid, whose name I won't mention because right now the bidding is right around 50%, that does go for $40 bucks. How many Lone Wolves, or Bad Frogs can I get for $40. bucks?
