Not a problem...the guy who claimed to be Mitt Romney wasn't actually debating a true American anyway.

There are two possibilities;

1. This is the normally expected showing of the second face of a Republican candidate.

2. It was a Romneybot!

You want to hear a REAL liar? Listen when the President says that he works with Republicans.
The guy was only a Senator for a short time, but he consistently voted either with his own party, or just "present".
He continued this partisan approach as President. When he told McCain "we won". When he rammed his Healthcare bill through the senate before Scott Brown could replace dead Kennedy. When he repeatedly uses the terms "us" and "them" in his speeches to describe the dems or the GOP.

There is no debate over which candidate has a stronger history with compromise and bipartisan consensus. Romney was a republican governor in friggin Massachusetts for crying out loud. We are as close to a ONE party state as any in the nation.

Fact.

^ Obviously this is an odd use of the word ‘fact’ that I an unfamiliar with.

Be as it may - would you explain again how sheep’s bladders may be employed to prevent earth quakes?

Odd use?
When you're finished stuffing sheep bladders from behind, it would be somewhat interesting to hear what is untrue regarding my statements.
No hurry.
Sheep have feelings too.

Ah, I have been a bit slow on the uptake of this whole ‘fact’ thing. I think I can follow along with the spirit better now;

Coke is WAY better than Pepsi – Fact.
(I even checked Snopes)

I honestly meant no offence or harm to sheep of any ethnic group, political affiliation, or religious denomination. And no sheep were harmed during the making of this thread.
Although some metaphoric sheep have contributed to the afore going posts.

I really don't think tailgater is a liberal. But I could be wrong.

I offer statements of truth that are undeniable for their accuracy. You counter with a subjective favorite soft drink.

Bravo.

I was of course trying to illustrate the error you were making in the use of the word ‘fact’. Your assertions in #4 are largely opinion. You may well believe strongly and have great difficulty understanding that some actually disagree – and yet her I am.

Did Obama push through the healthcare bill? Damn skimpy he did. He did his job – the one he was elected by majority vote to do. If he continued to mollycoddle the GOP nothing would have gotten done. As I recall the GOP never really had a cogent plan for healthcare reform.
NOTE; the afore going opinions are solely that of the poster and not necessarily the opinions of Cigarbid.com or its clientele.

Did Obama make the statement that we needed to sign the healthcare bill to see what was in it? Then turn around and ask Romney to elaborate on his plan for the future. Did Obama have 4 years to turn around the government and at least lower the deficit? Did Obama have the opportunity to fulfill his hope and change?

All facts and all lies/manipulations/faults.

The Obama followers I know are convinced nothing can be done in four years.. He needs eight years to turn it around.... they don't care about what he's done wrong or the promises he didn't keep... they're giving him more time.... d'oh!

I don't even ask for him to turn it around. Slow it down would be better. Don't treat the economy like your own personal piggy bank. It's not so much me I am worried about but my children.

The thing is, you'd rather talk about what a fact is, rather than discuss the topic at hand. Likely because you know Obama and his platform require such diversionary tactics.

Obama did push the HC bill through. You know it. I know it. It happened. It is therefore a fact. Sorry if that bothers you, and I still don't know why you took offense to that word. Or are you still reeling from when Romney handed it to Obama by telling him "you can have your own plane, your own house, but not your own facts"!!

It will be longer than 4 years for the economy to sufficiently improve no matter who the president is.

Right than – Obama did a fine job pushing through the HC bill. He is a great man and we are in his debt. (If you think about it, you can have some real fun with the last sentence. No need to thank me.)

Having watched whole debate – I did not walk away thinking either one really won. I did think Romney was being evasively honest (read lying). And I thought Obama was surprised by Romney denying the 5 trillion dollars. Not that I would argue the point – it is acknowledged that Romney made the better showing. But did it sway the vote in a meaningful way or was it just a better performance?
