My first election where I was compelled to register and vote AGAINST a candidate (sound familiar?). Not so much that I liked Nixon as much as I wanted to spit in the eye of fellow college longhairs who gloated about their commie idol.
Began to realize the error of his bureaucrat ways after his business (bed & breakfast?) went bankrupt.
