An amusing article. Essentially states that Romney has a better track record than Obama on environmental issues, but that they're both trying to out-do the other in claiming to be able to drill as much as possible.

Also takes a poke at the myth of fully domestic oil production.

The irony is that neither candidate is talking about it, so no one else is....

I kinda feel like you proved the article's point.

You know what's unusual?

This entire election cycle that not one candidate has had the balls to actually raise awareness to the issue of polar bear abortion clinics. It's a travesty! Here we are in the US of A driving around on broken bridges, drinking dirty water and sleeping in private parks under blue tarps with our plastic drum circles and right now...there's MILLIONS of polar bears that are being denied the choice to have abortions! How long is THAT going to stand, huh?

There's scientific consensus that polar bears are being denied their right to abortions.

Yes... be facetious.

There is a growing body of knowledge that we have an impact on our environment... the type of impact, the level, etc are irrelevant to this discussion...

It is interesting to me that this is a completely ignored topic in the presidential race currently.

Is it because the economy is so bad, Obama thinks trying to sell any environmental issues would alienate the middle-ground?
Is it because Romney has a better record than Obama and Obama is afraid Mitt will bring that up?
Is Mitt avoiding it because he's afraid his good environmental record would alienate the Teabaggers?

The silence is interesting to me. Obviously you're unwilling to look at it beyond "It's about climate issues! I must mock it!"

Alas, it is true. There lie the poor, tired and huddle masses of bunnies. Gasping for life as the oppressive boot of the self-righteous top 1% presses upon their throat, denying them the simple right to breed like . . . . well, breed a lot. And make jelly beans!

Did I have way too much Scotch last night, or did Rick say something that actually makes sense? Nah, must be the Scotch.

Climate change will be discussed as part of the election only when we globalists can find another angle to profit from it. We already used up the global warming scam.

Or just hang around and wait for the cycle to repeat again.

"These fears are based on computer models that show temperatures continuing to rise in step with levels of CO2.

That’s a big one, because all these governments are pushing legislation, regulations, taxes, and controls on people and economies based on computer models that have failed spectacularly. Which is why, of course, Warmists blame everything that happens on “climate change”. Hot, cold, wet, dry, snow, ice, hurricanes, no hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, you name it, Mankind’s CO2 output is to blame in Warmist World."

That's probably true... which is fine by me.

Just reinforces my assertion that people don't really like their kids, or care about them.

I find it funny.

If Americans really liked their kids, would they saddle them with 16 trillion in debt and even be considering taking that up to 20 trillion?!

Nope.
There's a million examples of how it is clear people dont actually care that much about their kids.

The most interesting was a finance study showing how $$ could be optimized if it were disbursed earlier (prior to death) yet most individuals preferred to keep the money as long as possible, despite the financial hit their inheritors would take.

No matter what people say, I'm convinced they don't really like their children that much. (and especially no matter how many times they scream "what about the children")

It was a serious question....
I stated that "no matter what they say" and you said "didn't you watch the debates"....

Either you were joking, or you don't understand that debates are a speaking engagement.....
