I had a girlfriend that hated Eggers with all her being.

So while I have not read his work, I approve of his existence.

Arguing online liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, crap all over the board, and strut around like it's victorious. - Anonymous

And you won’t need to be stern, judgmental, or narrow minded. Soon you’ll be able to embrace people without caring about their race or religion. You might even start having ideas of your own . . . .

But one step at a time – do you own a pair of Birkenstocks?

You may want to reread this Brewha, it would appear you are being judgmental and narrow minded as well.

Wait a minute, I’m confused. If I understand this Liberal thing correctly, aren’t I suppose to dismiss outright the neanderthal values of conservatives, and berate and belittle as intellectual inferiors, those who hold such values? If so, aren’t I still being “stern, judgmental, or narrow minded”? Or are conservatives so inferior to me now, that I may dismiss their values and opinions, as I would any other knuckle dragging ape? Opps, if I just insulted our ape brothers, please forgive me, as I’m only beginning to learn the doctrines of my new Liberal faith.

Then again, maybe I’m over thinking this whole thing. From what I’ve read from my new Liberal brothers and sisters (is that being sexist, should I have said sisters and brothers?), as long as I accept and believe what they believe, I’m considered open minded and non-judgmental, while at the same time I can totally reject and ridicule those outright evil conservatives. Wait a minute. How can that be? Now my brain is starting to hurt.

Let me see if I’ve got this part straight. As long as I and embrace the homo-sexual agenda, fight for special privileges for women and minorities, accept all non-Christian religions, I can outright hate white homo-phoebe males and all Christians, while still being considered “loving and accepting”, right? My mind says that it doesn’t make sense, but my new Liberal soul says it’s true.

All this “thinking” is so overrated, and probably a undesirable trait, left over from my former conservative life. It’s a good thing that I’m now a Liberal, and can support political causes because they “feel” right, and my fellow Liberal friends tell me that they’re right, instead of actually scrutinizing both sides of the issues.

I’m tired of searching out facts about issues. So much easier to believe what I’m told to believe. I think I’m going to like being a Liberal.

Have no fear my friend. Now that you are cautiously taking the first few tentative steps on the long journey to understanding fully the truism 'Liberalism is a mental disorder', some confusion is completely understandable.

I recommend adopting the popular (and soon to be mandatory) chant 'Ommmm-Ba-Ma Ommmm-Ba-Ma Ommmm-Ba-Ma, it will help you to become one with...well, the One.

Condescending. I was going for condescending. Which would encompass judgmental and to some extent narrow mindedness I suppose.

It as in no way meant as sarcasum. We all know that any liberal worth his salt has a well crafted pair of sandals . . . . .

No. A thousand mile journey begins with but one step (Birkenstocks not withstanding). Remember that the door and the pathway no meaning one the objective is in site. Also, If I define myself as that which is the definition, one cannot find fault with my conceptualization until one knows me as well as I do; which is impossible.

Say, to you like tofu?

I tried it once, but my junk shrunk, I grew man breasts and had an overwhelming desire to watch "chic" fli....er Lifetime movies. Also tended to cry a lot and wanted reassuring hugs from other men. Ohhhhh, now I get it. Tofu is a required staple in a liberal man's diet. The wife is not going to be happy, but I guess I have to do what I have to do. So which do you prefer, silken or regular?

Never tried it. This was in fact just a little test. You're really coming up short on the required empathy that liberals tend to have. No mater though . . . . Sorry about your man boobs. Whatever you do don't tell Wheel.

Now, it may help if you renounce some of your conservative views;
Abortion, it's a woman's right?
Helping the poor is a duty of society?
Where would you like to start? It's all Bush's fault?

How about freedom of religion not from religion?
Freedom of speech?
The right to bear arms?

Exactly!

DP, speak out!
People have right to be free from religion.
People have the right to free speech.
People have the right to cook and eat all the bear arms they can get.

Usually hung out with black, brown and, on occasion, white loafers depending on the part of town.

Was going to say enjoyed weekends & sports with chucks but that didn't sound right.
