The important thing is getting involved, not garnering the most approval. As long as you aren’t sending pre-cut Victor Sinclairs or Pirates Gold you’ll be ok.

Hop in line. If Tele doesn’t like what you send him I’ll hit his ass. Figuratively of course.

Guys who come here to get cool cigars sent to them don’t tend to last long.

Welcome to the joint but…

Doesn’t quite work that way. Not talking

Participation to establish one’s validity comes first. You’re brand-spanking new here and while this is a VERY generous group of BOTLs, it’s not like you can walk in from the street and have people send cigars to you just ‘cause you saw this thread and thought you could ask and receive free cigars. Basically you gotta give in order to receive.

Go to the General Discussion thread and post an introductory message. Who are you? What do you do? How’d you get into cigars? What do you like to smoke? What have you tried and liked / disliked? Who’s your uncle and what was the name of his forum? And anything else you deem pertinent.

Then, become an active participant in the trades. NooB and Non-Elitist PIBs are two places to dip your toe in and establish yourself here. You’re probably a great guy but we don’t know that. I mean, you don’t just go into a bank and ask for a loan without showing proof of employment, credit history, etc. so similar situation on this forum.

Good luck!

Jakes bomb landed Friday. I've been trying to recover my senses enough to read the labels and make a list. I think he injured me.

Unnecessary Roughness. 15 yard yard penalty. Automatic ... 1st down.

The damages:
LCA Plata o Plomo
Unbanded “damaged” Privada cigar, but I don’t see any damage (nh)
Hoyo de Amistad Maduro rothschild
Hoyo de Amistad natural, calling it a romusto (nh this vitola)
LCA Reserva Vintage 2022 by Eiroa
Curivari RL 3000, I had one of these, and liked it, looking forward to smoking another
Oliva Serie V Maduro (nh). Normally, I would be offended, but I asked for it, so I guess that makes it OK. I will not blame you if it is awful. Maybe.
Caldwell The Last Tsar belicoso. I don't think I've had this size, looking forward to trying it
HVC 500 Anni (nh)
AF Flor Fina Anniversary CC (nh). It’s a candela that I have been wanting to try.
Stolen Throne Yorktown Fleet (nh)
DPG Series JJ
Viaje Juntos (nh)
Diesel d10th (nh this vitola)

Thank you so much, Jake! That's an awesome selection of smokes, as usual. You are a scholar and a gentleman.ThumpUp

Glad they made it lee! The plata o plomo was also “damaged”. I do fear they are very fragile so smoking “him” sooner rather than later may be a good idea. I smoked one recently and thought it was good but the foot was jacked up. Once I got it lit it smoked good and I liked it. Was trying to figure out if that cigar was fine but unpopular or what the story on those were since they had been included in the damaged bin

Been busy lately I think I responded to your pm. I was away from home so wasn’t being short or anything. Anyway hope there’s some good ones in there. I sent some I hadn’t tried.

I think it's an excellent suggestion.

I had the Plata o Plomo when it came out and liked it quite a bit. I even bought some extras, but I think I gave most of them away. It will be savored.

Shock and awe.

Come home and to my surprise two boxes, a large box and a SFR….both unexpected.

So my new Arken 6x24x56 scope arrived a day early, won’t bore you with those details but that girl is thicccc…..

And apparently my fellow theatre aficionado decided to kick my wedding tackle and now my special lady friend is going to have ice me for at least a fortnight.

Eleven fine cigars and now I can rest easy the Maduro Hoes Gang is still strong!

Padron 3K maduro
Padron 4K maduro
Padron 5k maduro
Padron 6k maduro EXTRA crispy.
Padilla LFDT Cazadores (NH) like the band
Schizo Toro (NH)
Indian Tobac Maduro (man I haven’t had one of these in YEARS!)
2004 Partagas Full Select (?) I’ve seen these but NH
AVO Maduro haven’t had one of these in years either!
Fuente 858 Rosado?
Fuente 858 SG but this one has a 2000’s label if I’m not mistaken?

One helluva lineup my man…thank you! One of these Padrons is gonna die this week fosho.

Yea, the Casadores and Schizo are the only ones with less then 10 years age out of the batch. the rest have matured for between 12 and 20 years lol. i think you will find they have all mellowed a bit but time has not hurt them (at least not to me) the AVO, Indian, and Partagas are no longer available although avo and partagas have replaced/renewed those lines with other things since they went dormant. hope you enjoy!

This nOOb PIB is not about impressing. The idea is to get some trading in for a little fun and to show you are a credible trading partner. The thread has gotten slightly off the nOOb track for the last little while simply because there haven't been a whole lot of nOObs coming along. Some of the members who maybe aren't so nOOb have been helping to keep the thread running, so maybe a few of the smokes seem a bit more boutique(ish) than has been the historical nOOn norm.

This thread started out with the suggestion of sending out a CBid fiver as the offering. That pretty much meant a mix of 5 cigars from a typical night at the auction. Folks sometimes up the offer a bit and throw in a few more cigars, but the base line is a CBid fiver.

When you pick someone up, just say "I got you _____(name of person), send me your address." They should send you their address by private message and the rest is up to you. You can send whatever you want. Once you've completed your sending, post a delivery tracking number. When the package is received it's customary for the receiver to acknowledge by sharing a list of the offering and it's your turn to ask the question, "Who wants to send me some smokes?" and the game moves on.

If you have smokes you would like to share, that's all it takes to jump in.

Welcome to the party, Don't worry... We will be gentle! Until you enter the politics thread at least and THAT is when we stop using lube... Noob PIB is a judgment free safe space!

I use a USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate for the cigars.

Iffin' you set up an account with USPS and use the Enhanced version of Click 'n Ship, your rates will be a little less than walking up to the counter. Insurance, up to $100, is included as well as a tracking number. Additionally, after you print out the label and affix it to the box, you can just drop it into a mailbox / hand it to your mail carrier, instead of waiting in line.

Usps priority flat rate box or usps ground advantage will give you tracking. Most of us default to the flat rate priority cause you don't have to weigh it but it has gotten more expensive. SFR is like $10 now. 10 cigars weighing 9.6oz in a small 2x6x8 box ground advantage cost me about $6 today. But I already had the box. Flat rate boxes sre free and if it fits it ships.
