nah im female. As for my boyfriend the place we both worked at went under and I found a job first then he fell down the stairs and had to go through pt to learn to walk with a walker then a cane. He did a lot of damage to his nerves and it's been one hell of a year.
Social security Disability requires inability to work for one year. Benefits, when awarded, date back to the date the disability began (date of accident). Six months thereafter, Medicare coverage kicks in. here in Florida, medicaid takes care of the first six month's retroactive to SSD award date and is retroactive for bills incurred six months back. none of these benefits should be for longer than your boyfriend will need them, unless he is permanently totally disabled, in which case, the federal government may retrain him to perform a job within medical restrictions/abilities. Best of luck to him and you!
