Now that the major media openly campaigned for Obama and this country's demographics are changing, are the Republicans just a token opposition much as parties opposing Putin and his Politburo, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Democrat mayors running DC?

But if Repubs = Demoncrats, why are the Repubs reeling after the last presidential election?
Public (at least on cbid) perception doesn't appear to agree with the voter's reality.

Think about it- are the Republicans abandoning their opposition to a polarizing societal sharia that is dividing our country- illegal immigration, hate crime legislation, secular eradication of religious symbols, embracing alternative lifestyles, extremist feminist agenda (women in combat), attack on gun rights, yad yada yada...

And forget about their fake opposition to abortion that they've been proudly displaying as a bulwark of their social agenda for decades along with prayer in schools, and protection of the flag.

Yes, the Repubs will get back in.... and blow it.

Neither side of the divide can handle success. The Dems couldn't find their own backside for ten years. Only the final 3 years of George W Blunder opened the door to the Left.

Chinese proverb... Anything together too long will come apart. Anything apart too long will come together.

It will be fun to wacth China break up over the next 10 years or so.

Republicans have a real shot at being the majority, if they can just loose the crazy conservatives . . . .

I suspect nice numbers of illegals were registered when they got their licenses & turned out to vote Democrat as well.
Doesn't matter, I think the Republican party is on the way to becoming irrelevant like the Whigs once a third party gets traction.

I think that the group that calls themselves the republican party is hopelessly out of touch with the real world. A group that caters to white, bible carrying middle aged affluent men is pretty much not going to be in the majority anymore.

The majority of people that think they are republicans are realistically just moderate people that are concerned about debt and government spending and maybe lean towards social conservatism. If they would open their eyes, they would realize that their views line up much more closely with a political party that is not the republican party.

Realistically, the majority of democrats are also moderate people who feel that we should all have some responsiblity to taking care of americans that can't take care of themselves but are probably concerned about debt and government spending and maybe lean towards social liberalism.

If all these people talked to each other, they would realize that they have more in common with each other than they do with the extremists who seem to be the ones setting policy for the political parties.

They would make one hell of a third party that would make Barrack and Pelosi and Boehner and Palin completely irrelevant.

I wish that I would see that happen, but it never will. The sheeple can't hear anything over the sound of their own bleating.

The only thing dumber than a Democrat or a Republican is when those pricks work together. You see, in our two-party system, the Democrats are the party of no ideas and the Republicans are the party of bad ideas. It usually goes something like this. A Republican will stand up in Congress and say, 'I've got a really bad idea.' And a Democrat will immediately jump to his feet and declare, 'And I can make it sh*ttier.'" – Lewis Black

Exactly! Every POS legislation ever passed by either party was done so with the help, no the complicity of the opposing party.

This country has been lost for years. It's only now that the kettle water is simmering that we are beginning to notice & swim about in desperation.
No such thing as the 47%, eh? (shrugging shoulders)

Don't be surprised if we get another Clinton in 4 years.

What if the GOP decides to run Lindsay Lohan against her?

Paris Hilton as VP...Kim Kardashian Treasury Secretary...Sarah Palin Secretary of State...yeah...they could save the party!

You laugh but I wouldn't be surprised if the brainiacs in the Whig, er, Republican party choose an octaroon soccer person with union leanings & undocumented relatives in order to hit all demographics. The white guy is quickly become irrelevant unless he acts "black" like our previous black President. lol

All hail President Carpetmunch in 2016!Applause
