In a speech to House Democrats, Biden claimed, “It is clearly within the right of the government to determine what type of weapons can be owned by the public.”

How can this azz be VP when he clearly doesn't understand the Amendments and their purpose.

They clearly have had the right to determine what kind of weapon you have and can use. Otherwise everyone on here would own fully automatic weapons, bazookas, grenades, or even tanks. They just havn't got down to limiting semi- auto rifles and pistols. Jack's post is crap.

Those statements show your total ignorance of the Constitution, it's Amendments and the Founding Father's original intent. Believe the lies and drink the koolaid if it makes you feel better about the dictator want-to-be you helped to elect.

I could show you in the Federalist Papers and other documents, that a citizenry armed equal to, if not better then, the government, was our Founding Father's intent, as a deterrent to tyranny, but it would be a total waste of my time. Our Founding Fathers would consider most of what our elected officials have done in the past 100 years or so as treason, and I’m including in that, Bush and his treacherous Patriot Act. They'd be rolling in their graves if they knew the freedoms that "We The People" have p*ssed away in exchange for perceived, false security. Freedoms that so many died and bled to win.

Saying "the Founders would have thought X" doesn't add any weight to your argument because 1.) they've all been dead for at least 150 years, 2.) The Founding Fathers were a very diverse group of men; each with various interests, goals, and political philosophies, so it's virtually impossible to not only define what they would "want," but also to classify who "they" are, and 3.) How does one claim to have the prophetic power to say what this group of people wanted in the first place? Let's get past this cliched line of reasoning.

Typical liberal smoke screen. Read the Federalist Papers and then tell me we have no idea of what their intent was.

Yeah...so let's not read what they wrote...let's just let lawyers and lobbyists write legislation and do whatever...yeah...it's worked wonders.

Look at the mess they created.

A far cry from the "experiment" they created.

They have already determined that they can dictate what kind of weapons you can have, if not to your liking, you must reverse time, and gun laws.

Hey dog, I'm guessing you're just stiring da pot and really don't approve of the gun control thing... like I said earlier, I don't expect anything be undone... protecting our current rights is the agenda... is it a waste of time as you seem to imply..?? I don't think so... but if you're just poking the bear just to do so just say so... Mellow
