.. is that people are stupid.

The majority thinks that deficit reduction should be a primary concern.
The majority would rather their taxes not go up.
The majority also rejects all possible areas of spending cuts.

the masses are asses

Rephrase the questions and those same majorities will have it all fixed by the end of the fiscal year:

Is the deficit a concern?
Is it ok if the taxes go up for everyone who makes more money than you?
Is it ok if spending cuts occur - as long as it doesn't affect you personally?

Bam. Problems solved.

No link required to prove your point.
Just look at the last election results.

Those cheeto-envying do-gooders think that sticking it to the job creators is a means to make their lives easy.

Gone are the days when digging yourself out of a hole means working harder.
Between the union tenure and the government teet, personal responsiblity has been all but eliminated.

Sequestration can't come fast enough.
We can't support inefficiency by throwing more money at it. We need to make the difficult cuts that our sitting president is scared to death to make.
He'd sooner mortgage your childs future than eliminate funding to an 8 foot tall canary.

And yet he won.

Whenever there is a decent snowfall in Massachusetts, the governor announces that "all non-essential" employees should stay home.
It's in the name of safety and to ease snow removal.

But who the f*ck is getting MY tax dollars to work a job that is non-essential?

The sorry fact of the matter, is that over 80% of the state workers fit this broad category.

I think we should prop up Obama's weather machine, make it snow, give the non-essentials a day off, and then fire everyone who doesn't show up.

Time after time I sit and I wait for your call
I know I'm a fool but what can I say.
Whatever the price I'll pay for you, Madame Blue
Once long ago, a word from your lips and the world turned around.
But somehow you've changed, you're so far away
I long for the past and dream of the days with you, Madame Blue.

Suite Madame Blue, gaze in your looking glass
You're not a child anymore.
Suite Madame Blue, the future is all but past.
Dressed in your jewels, you made your own rules
You conquered the world and more ....heaven's door.....

Think

It isn't quite like that. I was of the same mindset, but not any more. If there is a reasonable profit, instead of investing back into the business and hiring more, the people at the top get a new, more impressive title and a big zzz bonus, while the rest below get maybe enough of a raise to cover the increase in insurance premiums. Unless you admit to smoking cigars.

I'm no democrat, and I don't like Kerry, but we should embrace that. We DO have the right to be stupid. To overbuy, run up credit card bills, buy homes we can't afford.

Are you suggesting that the gubmintttttt make smart decisions for you?

If it sucks at the bottom then move up the food chain.

Actually no. I don't think that has ever happened.
