NO DEED GOES UNPUNISHED, SANFORD WINS

During the six days of absence, one of the
excuses offered by Sanford's spokesperson
was that Sanford was hiking the Appalachian
Trail. As a result, "hiking the Appalachian
Trail" or "hiking the Appalachians" became
an acceptable euphemism in the English
language meaning the area above the knees
and below the waist of his argentina girl
friend, Maria Belén Chapur.

since sanford's now former wife was not a hiker,
she remained home to care for his home and
family. fraudently using a govenment credit
card which was for government business
use only sanford flew. i assume first class.

unlike the former wife of the nut from new
york, rudy 9/11 giuliani, who threw his wife
out of the governers mansion and installed
his current squeeze, Jenny Sanford, sanford's
former wife announced that she was filing for divorce.

knowing how much crap the voters were
wiling to accept from their public servants
he refused to resign as governor of so.
carolina and he continued to remain in office
collecting his salary and perhaps walked
some local trails on government time and at
government expense and decided because
of term limits unable to run for reelection as
governor, so he ran for the senate and won.

the same voters who picked him for
governor were so proud of their choice
decided they would keep around as senator.

moral of this story: don't blame the former
governor, now seanator to be, blame the
voters.

^Yet you don't seem to have any problem paying millions upon millions of dollars so Barry and family can take dozens of extravagant vacations each year, while the average American can barely pay their bills.

You have every right to be upset with this ****** weed from South Carolina, but when you turn a blind eye to the millions of tax payer dollars that are flushed down the toilet every time the prick you elected wants to go play golf, or his queen feels like flying to some European vacation, what does that make you? Hypocrite! Err, I meant typical Democrat. Then again, those words today are pretty much interchangeable.

I don't know about him, but I sure as hell did and he should have been prosecuted. If it wasn't for his little buddy as the Attorney General his ass would not be back in politics. The attorney general NEVER called for an investigation. It wasn't until photos came up that Sanford finally admitted to the affair on Good Morning America.

This is coming from a conservative who voted for him to become Governor. This has nothing to do with Democrat vs Republican. This has to do with using OUR tax dollars 9 separate times to go see this female in Argentina. When he said they all were for business. (Come to find out, Not a single one was for business)

If a Democrat were involved in such a scandal in South Carolina, the situation would have been very different & yes if anyone doesn't believe this your a hypocrite. What made it worse was the same people who jumped on Bill Clinton, felt remorse and were saying let's talk about forgiveness, let's talk about family.

An independent study commissioned by the now governor Nikki Haley estimated that the trips to Argentina cost over $18,500 per trip. On one trip the estimated cost was over $27,000. In all the report stated he had spent over $205,000 of Tax payers money.

And if any of you think for one second he is not a strong TEA party conservative you are wrong. He is going to butt heads with a lot of people up there in Washington. Don't be surprised in 16 months when the Republican party endorses Curtis Bostic to run against Sanford.

He was entrusted with the credit card for particular purposes. Personal use outside those purposes makes him a thief. Any party should have either kicked him out; or at least not supported his campaign. Misusing the party or state credit card like he did is enough for me. And now, he gets to work for all of us? Shame on his constituents who voted for him (unless the other candidates were of the same ilk).

Seems like he will be there to help the Republican Party coalition further divide and finally fall apart.

The only reason he won was because it was a short election. No matter what if the GOP backs anyone who runs against a Democrat in this state they will win. People in this state see a Democrat as an outsider/yankee. If you don't believe that than just look and see what flag they still have flying on top of the state house.

My stance is its not about honest politicians. My stance is with the money he spent and was not prosecuted for.

The politicians in this state are always talking about cutting spending. Well if you add up all the money blown for the spending cuts they make they really are not cutting spending.

I can't stand the TEA Party at all.

This past year it came to light that 90% of South Carolina tax payers had there Social Security information hacked along with bank accounts 3 months after it happened. Yes they didn't tell anyone until 90 days after it happened.

In the last 2 budgets proposed by Nikki Haley and accepted, she cut ALL spending for the advancement in government technology. She gloated how great our infrastructure was and how the money can be saved.

Now the state is already out 12m for the free year of credit monitoring.

Just this week the house approved & advanced a bill to start a bidding process for a new contract that would provide 10 more years of free credit monitoring service to those whose information was compromised. Early information is stating approximately 90m.

This TEA Bagging governor keeps saying we don't need federal money, that's the conservative way. Yes its the conservative way, but we are one of the top 10 states who is financially assisted by the government since she took office.

Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired

They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me

Don't cry for me Argentina

Yes. They stumbled across a large shipment of unused TRS-80 computers in a warehouse. Next to them was also a considerable amount of well-aged and well-maintained cigar tobacco that had been lost for up to 2 decades.

He was the governor of South Carolina while he met with his soul mate.

Gene,

Rick thinks he's clever for quoting what I said in an old thread that was when the news of his affair surfaced.

Now he's applying it to this thread to make me seem? ??? I dunno........it's Rick.

Weak sauce old man. Try again. I know you can do much better than out of current context misquoting.

Not so good, but Charleston replaced the hand cranked Hunley sub with ones that burn nuclear stuff. Besides, it would likely be a net gain in taxes to cut us lose.

Not to worry, we would also guarantee safe, albeit non stop, passage of northerners heading to Florida. jester

Nukes are good, carbon free power sources. South Carolina already has a complete fuel reprocessing plant in Barnwell, SC. It was shuttered by that genius prez, Jimmy Carter.

Good point on the tires and no guns from FN guns either.

I was going to include Airplanes as well, but seems like that didn't take off too well. Yet we just committed another 120m of tax payers money to Boeing.

Too late:
Quote:

Boeing South Carolina fabricates, assembles and installs systems for aft (rear) fuselage sections of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and joins and integrates midbody fuselage sections. The site is also home to the newest 787 Dreamliner final assembly and delivery facility, which began production in July 2011.

Exports? No problem:
Quote:

The plant (Spartanburg, SC) produced a record 276,000 cars in 2011 — BMW X3s, X5s, X6s — and exported 70 percent of them, or 192,000. It sold the popular SUVs to 130 countries throughout the world, Max Metcalf told the group.

That's because we are an at will working state.Though no employer will ever admit it, that's why they come here. Unless your an African American where you have to go through a process to fire. A White man can be fired on the spot for just wearing the wrong shoes. I have witnessed someone being fired for taking a crap that evacuated the entire lunch room. They called it an environmental hazard.

Plus this state is notorious for given out 8 years of free tax in return for a % of jobs. Last year they did a study and the only company that ever did there part in the last 20 years is no longer in this state. MACK trucks.

I hate to see good botl get bent out of shape over the quick & inevitable shift in demographics that was first initiated by Ted Kennedy in the 60's and then gained great momentum when Reagan granted amnesty to over 10 million illegals.

I say we should be unexceptional like everyone else. Nothing wrong with that. We should all be one.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one...
