Poll Question : What needs euthanesia - if you HAD to choose!
Choice Votes Statistics
"sick" Animal 6 46 %
"flawed" Human Unborn 4 30 %
I protest! Both are EQUAL in this enlightened age! 3 23 %
Total 13 100%

What's easier for you to justify in your mind?

Little unborn Leslie appears to have Down syndrome and once born won't have a "fulfilling" life vs. suffering Banjo who needs an expensive hip replacement?
Who needs putting down MORE?
...and "neither" don't count nohow except in Mr. Roger's neighborhood.

Why do we have to choose just one?

If you HAD to choose... the fact that you are frozen with the deer look speaks droves. Both are EQUALLY important to you. That's cool.

How about we leave it to Little Unborn Leslie's parents and Banjo's owner. I doubt they want a bunch of CBidders making their decisions for them.

Or Congress, for that matter.

Seems like we've come a looooong way. This should have been a no-brainer. Very sad.
We are unable to make moral choices without legislative guidelines to guide us. Apparently no right or wrong here...

Why is the downs syndrome a factor?
Kill the kid. It will likely annoy me at some point in time in my life. Dogs rarely do so, and this one will be dead soon anyway.

I need more information, so I can make the most compassionate choice possible...

Did Leslie's parents vote for Obama? Think

So what you're saying is that there may be a genetic history & family predisposition to Down's which needs to be nipped in the bud? Think
Interesting suppository.

Because it will surely cost more than just an average American. (Uneducated...slack jawed...government dependent)

You don't get it. To Victor every unborn child is a potential pockmark with some sort of yet undiscovered Down's that will waste limited resources.

...and I agree, Paul.

Using those guidelines, that group already includes about fifty million people.

Down's Syndrome isn't that horrible an affliction. You should have said "brain dead" or "limbless" or something.

Nuke both families from orbit, it's the only sure way to eliminate their DNA from the gene pool.

OK, you can save them both, but ya gotta abort three more babies to make up for the resources they will use.

It's easier to end the dog's life.

If my dad had a broken hip, and my dog had Downes, it would be a tough decision. But in the end I would go to the funeral with my dog.

Be patient, we have until at least 2016 to run that number much, much higher.

Based on this poll, I'd say you're mainstream on these boards, my friend. Unsure
