Three American service members killed by eastern Afghanistan

Three American service members were killed by an improvised

explosive device attack in eastern Afghanistan Tuesday, local officials said.


The blast happened in the Said Abad district of Wardak province.

The International Security Assistance Force announced the casualties

i
n a statement, saying confirmation and identification would be left

“to the relevant national authorities.”


An Afghan official told NBC News the three victims were American.

The Russians spent a decade in Afghanistan and ran home with their tail between their legs. You don't want to be like the Russians do you?

Alexander the Great married the daughter of a warlord in order to buy safe passage for his Army to India. That sounds like a much better plan. We could start an 'Occupy the Call Centers' movement

I just agreed with two of Gene's posts in a row.

It's sad but true. At this point Obama hasn't pulled out of the middle east, and he hasn't given much in the way of viable excuses why he hasn't.
And... sad but true, black enrollment (and subsequently death) in the military service has always exceeded their civilian population.

I always here Genes posts in Mean Gene Okerland's voice. I like them both.

As an aside there are a chain of pizza/sub joints Okerland's set up called Mean Genes that have a grumpy looking drawing of him as part of the logo. For some reason they jchanged them to U-Genes. Now that's mean.
