What's that got to do with it? Sarcasm I am starting to think he will come out on top no matter what happens. Think Syria would use gas with all those U.S. ships and assets in place? That alone is a simple moral victory for him to hang his hat on. Mark my words and wait for the final spin.Sick

Then our beefed up presence and readiness in the region will simply encourage another chemical weapon attack to induce an attack on Assad's military infrastructure...

I like your reverse logic, to wit: why hasn't Assad used chemical weapons to just wipe out the opposition? Why chance a single attack for all the negative attention he knows he is going to get, why not get it done? Yes, I have read speculation of other attacks, but just speculation.
