That ole prick couldn't hurt a fly. If she had kicked him in the nuts he probably wouldn't have been able to get off the ground.

Why is the Park Ranger even there? And do they even have "jurisdiction" or the authority to keep anyone out of there since they are not currently working? Wrong either way!!

Kind of ironic that one of the asshats who is directly responsible for this Political Theatre of the Absurd to have a problem with the Memorial being closed.

He should have pulled out a shotgun and shot her in the face if she kicked him in the nuts.

I've been thinking a lot about this lately. I'm a Reagan Republican. Maybe folks in here are right and I'm not today's Republican. I can live with that.

Reagan opened up the tent and invited people in. It allowed the Republicans to go beyond being a party winning isolated elections and to actually govern in the majority. To do so involves comprimise. In order to get the majority of your ideas through (when you are in the majority) you need to allow some things through you disagree with (throw a few bones to the minority). As the minority you need to strive to become the majority so you can do the same. For either side to insist they get everything they want or they will burn the place down is silly.

Comprimise now is suicide in the party. I honestly beleive Reagan would be considered a RINO today by the pin headed vocal minority in the party that are indeed calling the shots. It is a big step back from Reagan and probably will take the party back to a marginal fraction that can do nothing but obstruct out of any real ability to garner majority....... I'm sad about that becaus ethe Dems are not an option.... buncha freaks.

The good part is these things are short lived (could be years but still short). These types of actions will marginalize them and they will effectively become a joke. It is not sustainable. The Republican party found that out prior to Reagan and they just need to learn it again. *sigh*

At least it was more fun being in the bad ass party that never really had a chance to govern. You could make wild proclamations and through verbal hand grenades without any real chance of doing harm since you had no chance of governing. You can always be right when you are bitchin about the folks that actually hold power.

Actually it sort of reminds me of the implosion the dems had when they controlled the house for so long that the freaks started running the show rather thansitting in the wings getting their occasional bone from their party. When the adults lose control of the party the party will crumble. rinse and repeat.

Didn't Reagan talk about bold colors in having differences with democrats is painting the parties platform?

Todays RHINOs are fifty shades of democrat light. Reagan was not party hack establishment candidate.

Yes. He understood that comprimise did not mean tossing away your core beleifs, somethng lost on the one hit wonders of today.

I truly beleive the hacks in the party today would have branded him a RINO.

He also beleived enough in his core beleifs that others would come along and not have to be forced. He beleived as long as you stayed the course in the end the best ideas would win. He liked a good battle as much as anyone and they had their own impasses. But in the end he did pass some things that were liberal (as the dems like to remid us). Some of them fit into his philosophy, others were part of comprimise and he was man enough to risk folks clucking that he was a this or that because he allowed this or that..... he had spine, but he also didn't have a party that would have called him a RHINO and stabbed him in the back.

John Boehner can't do **** because of that fear. He has to watch his back with Cantor and McConnel not to mention the 19%ers that think they represent the 100%. Politics has always been cut throat but it's at a new level. I truly beleive we will look back at this like the McCarthy era (IE they only person to find it a good thing will be JPOTTS and his sock puppet) (J/K potts.... just thinkin bout ya)

I love Reagan. It makes me sad to see todays hacks misuse his name and memory.

By they way it looks like Rand Paul seems to focus on polling data, spin and talking points, catch words just like all the other politicians...... You mean he is no different? I thought he had a glow about him.
