I bought a 5 pack of Flor de los Reyes Torpedo and enjoyed them enough to want to pick up a 25pc lot. In searching I found Flor de los Reyes Churchills. Can someone tell me if the difference is in taste or just size/shape?

They will be similar but not exactly the same. The Torps come up pretty often. Be patient and wait till they do. X

uncleb --- each particular size and shape of a cigar in the same line will have different flavor characteristics and strengths ...

... this is due in part to the amount of leaves used (longer cigars with a bigger ring gauge will burn cooler) and the amount of wrapper used (much of the flavor of the cigar is in the wrapper), which in turn effects the different flavor profiles that are allowed to develop with each size.

Find the one you like ... and stick with it, unless you want to experiment. The will have slightly different flavors ...

I smoked a flor de los reyes churchill on saturday. It was a nice mellow cigar, but was hard to draw through. I put it out about 1/2 way down cause I was getting dizzy from puffing it so hard. I have a couple more, but hope they don't draw the same way. I had them in my coolerdor and hadn't opened it in a while. Might have been over humidified, but it burned very evenly. I put one of the others in my wooden humidor to see if is better next week.

Contemplating life.............Leon

Thanks all for the input. I opted to bid on a couple of 5 packs of the Torp's (I think that is the right cigar lingo- if not I am sure I will hear about it) for now. That way I can experiment with a few more brands that have been recomended by those in this illustrious forum.

I have them both, churchill ok, but, takes longer to taste the flavor. For the price don't think you can go wrong, it is one of my weekdays cigars.
