Hey all,

I was turned onto this site almost accidentally; and now I find myself checking it out almost every day. I hate to say how little I smoke, compared to the others here, but I do like a nice cigar on the golf course. I'm very partial to the Ashtons, and think they're one of the best all around cigars I've ever had. I just tried a Virgin Sun Grown (which they don't seem to auction here), and was thrilled. Here in Southern California (Murrieta), cigars are so bloody expensive, at least in the smoke shops. This place has been great to find, but I find I'm buying many many more cigars, a humidor, guillotines, etc. etc. etc....ah well..we all have to have one vice, yes?

Ok, Ok...I can see that your imaginations are running away with you. My first name is Stuart, and the last name is Triplett.....so, sorry to disillusion all of you but I'm not a stripper (large or small), but Hey!! for $50, I can damn well fake it.

Thanks for all the kinda words of welcome. I really do like the site. Now, I have a question on cigars...since I like the Ashton brand, they seem to be mild, but not macanudo mild, have a good flavor, and don't turn until late in the cigar, what other brands/kinds do y'all recommend? I'm kinda just getting started, so please keep that in mind. I don't want to be limited to only one type, but some of the others I've had (like Te Amo, Macanudos) don't thrill me. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

Stuart

Try any of the Fuente's, Avo's, Torano Signature and El Rey Del Mundo's. These are all good cigars in the mild to medium range but are different in tastes. IMHO Clark

Stuart ...
Some brands you might want to consider are Avo, R&J, Fonseca, CAO Gold, Don Diego, Don Tomas, H. Upmann, Leon Jimenes, Astral and Montesino ... but there are so many more, I can't begin to think of all of them.

Don't limit yourself ... try different cigars ... remember which ones you liked (and which ones you didn't) ... buy more of the ones you like ...

Great, just what the site needed, a $50 stripper.
Welcome aboard, the AVO might be right up your alley.

Try Padrons and Mayorgas, both types of wrappers - natural and maduro. These are easier on the wallet but just as good as other pricier ones.

Strip,If you can get a box of the Mayorga High Octane in Maduro under $60,go for it. An XLNT smoke. I recently got a box of 27 for $55. You have to be patient when bidding and don't get into bidding wars, which I've seen happen. X

Thanks for all the help and kind words. I appreciate making a new one feel right at home--with a few dingers as well as the howdy's--and the suggestions for a good smoke. I've already bought a humidor (50 count), new guillotines, lighter, and oh yah...a bunch of cigars. And I have lots of new 'gars to try. Thanks again. Let me know if any of you are ever out Southern California way sometime. Here's my email address: [email protected] (don't forget the 'r' after the 's').

The subliminal messages on the auctions pages must be up and running again ..."buy,buy,buy -- your wife won't find out"
