Eagles vs Sourdough Sam

Smacktalk huh, who in the hell is gonna play quarterback for the "Iagles"? Andy Reid??? A scary thought! But in the NFL ordinary seems to be the routine this season, just as team looks like it will make a run they loose two or three games!

Prediction, the Super Bowl this year will be a close shootout!

I like these people who are bragging about being on top of the NFC East. The NFC will be Niners, Bucs, Packers, or Falcons. If the Bucs can win some more they can play at home and finally get to the big game. Eagles will be out fast with or without McNabb.

Unlike most Philly sports fans I have realistic expectations of my Eagles. Will they go all they way? I have no clue; but cut us some slack...NOBODY expected us to win that game; and we dominated! I suffer thru so many Philly teams (in all sports) that look good and then choke that I will take what I can get.

P.S. The Nfl just ain't the same without Cowboys getting arrested every other weekend. Maybe they need to sign Randy Moss?

Mag, I dont pay much attention to the other teams but I did not realize the Raiders changed to the NFC. I looked at the standings and noticed that the division with the Fins and Pats are statistically the same. Sorry bud, Its December time for round 2 of the Raiders choke-a-thon.

Niners play well in December i am steve. The Cowboys have a 50/50 chance of beating the Eagles.

I am an Eagles fan, and would love to see them go all the way. However, it's just not going to happen. So all of you Raiders fans, San Fran fans, whatever fans stop talking smack.... The Packers are better than them all. You can't stop the 4. :)

You thought nothing. You need to keep thinking about which conference your team actually belongs too and get your facts straight. You know as well as I do that stats don't mean crap unless the final stat is your team having more points than their opposition, talk about a whiner. The Raider's made a mistake here, they didn't do this there..give us a break.

Look cashman You are talking to a Raider fan whos been with them since 1975. I know which league the are in. OK if it makes you happy I'll admit I made a mistake. Now can you lay off the petty bull****. I asked you to come up with something worthwhile. Stats are important or they wouldnt take them. They show trends and momentum or lack of it in different aspects of the game or individually. The Raiders offence shows great strength even in losing. You act like the sheep I spoke of earlier. You may be right tailgater.But I thinks the Raiders destiny is in their own hands. They are tied for first in the AFC West. 3 of 4 games are in their division. Thats what I call crunch time! We will see. I have faith in them as long as no unexpected injuries happen.

Mag, I looked at a few schedules and the Raiders have a tough one. If they can make through the end of the season they will be beat up for the playoffs. My pick on that side is the Dolphins cause Ricky is from UT. If they can fire him up he can run over any defense.

GetYourOwn, You make a good point. Its a tough schedule.Even though the Jets are 6-5 they are on a 4 game winning streak. That game will be good but I think the Raiders will prevail. Chargers,Dolphins & Broncos are 7-4 like the Raiders. Its going to be interesting. The chiefs are our last game (5-6) unless they turn things around big time they wont be a factor. I still believe that if The Raiders dont get any injuries we will be OK. The Raiders were pretty beat up for a few games. Now they are healthy.Our offensive line has only allowed 1 sack in 3 weeks. They are our Key to Gannon success. Mag

With a 3rd string QB......WIN!!! You would not believe how frigid it was pounding beers in the parking lot....but then finally getting into the VET and watching the game we all warmed up. My last Eagles game at the VET was a good one,....sigh, no more 700 level antics! I am sure the Cowgirls(and the rest of the NFL) think that our new stadium will be less rowdy then good ole' Veterans Stadium but I sincerely doubt it!! Philly fans are Philly fans no matter where we are watchin games.

arbn keep the Cuban Honey's for yourself, I got my own stash coming in from Western PA. As for the game props to the Eagles for not losing. What was there 9 total turnovers? Feeley didn't lose the game and that's all that counts. The defense stepped up and won the game for the Birds. Warner, I'm afraid, is done. I think his throwing hand will never heal properly. And are you saying that box seat Philly fans are just as rowdy as the bleacher fans? I can't believe that.

GO RAIDERS!!! Brown 1,000 receptions,Rice 14 1,000 yd seasons. Gannon ties record for 300 yd games in 1 season with 4 games left. He will break the record. I have to admit the jets defence looked pretty good the 1st half. But in the third quarter after brown got 1,000 receptions and the next pass to Rice for a TD. That was when the momentum went to the Raiders and never went back.They also pretty much didnt let the Jets run. Good game! Except for the penalties. I guess Ive gotten used to those. Not bad for a bunch of old Men!! Hehehe Mag

Farve is pretty damn good. I think if you werent in a weak division things might be a little different for the Packers this season. Not to say they wouldnt be contenders. But they get to play the teams in their Div 2 times each. Those other teams really arent very good. How would you like to play Chargers or Denver a couple of times each. Just my opinion. Mag

Mag the Chiefs may be 6-6, but I would not leave them out of the mix of tough teams to play in AFC West..........they still get a second shot at San Diego, Denver and Oakland (last game of season and could decide AFC West)

When Chiefs and Raiders play, the records and past do not mean anything, except TENSE RIVALRY and hard fought game!!! Chiefs have lost in last minutes and in overtime due to weakness of defense and while they are weak on defense, they are among youngest in league on defense!!! They will eventually come around.

What they do have is best offensive line in NFL, and some of the best offensive weapons in league....Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez for example!!!! Will be a great game and KC should also be 7-5 or 8-4 right now, but we will see how they handle the final four games. Losing to Seahawks was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Chiefs and maybe the NFL Super Bowl champion come from the AFC West!!!!

Oh, and congrats to Raiders on last nite's victory and their continuing dominance of Monday Night Football. I also believe Bret Farve, ex Univ of Southern Mississiippi great, is the very best player in NFL!!!!
