The NJ Bridge 'Scandal' makes no sense at all.

Why wouldn't drivers blame the NJ Governor for a traffic jam on a state highway/bridge?

How would a state road/bridge traffic jam blow back on the local city mayor?

WTF NJ?

I hear you, but how does a clogged bridge get blamed on a mayor or cause the mayor political problems, short of being late for work?

Rick,

I don't care if it was done on the governor's order or not, I just cannot see how the traffic jam had any affect on the recalcitrant mayor.

If you lived in Jersey, you would totally get The scandal. i was somewhat involved in inner city NJ politics in the 1970's & could not make up some of the crap that went on.I can't stand the fat fuggin bully gov. Anyone who continually belittles, yells at & don't listen to his constituants at town meetings so that he looks like a big man (not fat man) is not my idea of someone I want representing me.
Living in NJ for 66 years & still lovIng it ( but not the gov).

"recalcitrant mayor" not so much, he just didn't want to enorse christie,

he has a billion doller improvement going on near the bridge entrance, housing,

office buildings and major improvements to the city to improve it financially,

it's path to glory is he ability to access and cities around is accessability to new york

shutting down that ability delutes it's value. financing was in place until the governor

demonstratd his ability to devalue any inestments and the financing has ben put on hold.

in addition his city was gridlocked and ems could not reach people in distress.

one old lady died, perhaps as a result of an hour wait for an ambulance.

kids starting school were hours late.

christie, who i liked unttil i found out how he governs as a bully, is out of gas now that

people ealize his pettiness and vindictivness.

impeachment for using his power as governor to ruin anyone that doen't endorse him,

is on the table.

several local newspapers have been investigating his illegal use of the office of the governor.

Rick,

Thanks! Devaluing his development makes some sense, though it punishes the citizens more than the mayor. It was a really dumb move from any angle.

The "recalcitrant" part was sarcasm.

yo comprendo sarcasm.

it is presumed at this point that christie or a member of his staff have a history of this kind

of dealings, payback like a child who wan'ts last taps.

either way, there is somsthing rottten in denmark. if christie is the culprit seeking revenge

he is damned.

if he has a chief of staff doing i behind his back, he is still damned for not being aware of

what is going on.

someone is going to be granted immunity, and christie might get to meet former governer

Ron Blagojevich in jail. it's going to be a mini-series.

Using the (highlighted) logic, withe which I agree, how is Obama not to be blamed for the IRS scandal and the application of Obamacare?

Again, I do not care for the NJ governor or frankly most all politicians, especially republicans and democrats. For what it's worth, thanking Obama over the Federal response to the big storm is no big deal.

I live in jersey and yes living in jersey is way to expensive but sometimes it's not so bad being 30 mins from Philly and two hours from NYC. So living in South jersey isnt so bad but I don't plan on going to north jersey seems like the more you go north the worse it gets and the more expensive.

i have fond memories of new jersey. we moved from the projects

of queens, ny to a government housing facility near red bank.

i went to school at tinton falls, and graduated from red bank high in 1950.

used to go crabbing in the shrewsbury river.

nice people, nice town.

Very true. I live in coastal Monmouth county. We're a 40 minute ferry ride from NYC. This area has gotten so over crowded since I was a kid.

The IRS reports to Obama, they do what he orders, e.g., harassing conservative organizations. While Obama likely didn't directly order their actions it done by his subordinates to maintain 'plausible deniability' just like Chrisy in NJ.

are you referring to the tax exemptions given to some groups

because they are a service to the public?

"IRC 501c3 provides the broad definition of the types of entities that are eligible for tax-exempt status. The initial requirement for tax exemption is that the organization be a corporation, community chest, fund or foundation organized for the SOLE purposes of promoting religious, charitable, educational, scientific or public safety causes. It also includes organizations that organize amateur sports competitions or that prevent cruelty to animals or children. Additionally, the organization must reinvest all net profits for the tax-exempt purpose, with none of the earnings benefiting private owners or shareholders."

the irs changed the word SOLE to PRIMARILY when the law went into effect about 50 years ago,

because they can do anything they want to do.

Again, the IRS reports to the president, in this case, Obama. There were audits as well as delayed/refused applications. No use playing 50 questions, you exempt Obama and I do not.

you may exempt whomever you want, that doesn't negate

the fact that irs has been doing what they want to do and

the fact that they would not be influenced by the president.

my memory tells me no one was turned away and all of the 501c3's

with few exceptions, were illegally granted tax free exemptions by

the irs.

tell me, do you think he is not the legal president. are you a "birther?"

what has he done or not done to conclude he is not doing the country any

good.

From what I see, Obama is just an unqualified crappy president.

IMO, the whole 'birther' thing is an insult to real immigrants. Most immigrants I have met are better citizens and appreciate the USA considerably more than Obama.

So so, shouldn't have invaded Iraq or started the corporate bailouts with TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program). Once he committed our troops he did support them 100%. Above all, he was unfairly attacked day after day. The hate for GWB was, and still is palpable; it borders on the insane.

The hate for Clinton came close, but was nothing like the mistreatment of GWB. Both men had plenty of real flaws and bad decisions that could be attacked. There was no need to make up all sorts of negative things about them. Finally, their treatment was in complete contrast to the white glove treatment of our current President. Honestly, the imbalance is what bothers me more than anything. In reality there are no significant differences between republicans and the democrats, they both work for the people that pay them, and I am not talking their salaries.

An old lady with heart issues died.

Four people were ignored and left to die by bullets in a foreign land at the POTUS discretion.

You choose the fat idiot only to attack then ask your verbal combatant twenty questions after he asked you a simple question. Typical.
