Screw ALL incumbents......vote them ALL out!!!!!!
Couldn't agree with you more but that'll never happen. Most people are too petty and small to look beyond their own selfish interests, ie: What can he do for ME? I've heard of a few politicos leaving voluntarily after 1 or 2 terms but that's the exception.
Don't know much about the husky Honeysuckleberry fellow in question other than he was an adequate governor (better than Slick), but appears to have clamped down on smokers's rights a bit. I might still vote for him. He's affable and intelligent. What other criteria is there REALLY? phhhffft
Whether you know it or not, politicians have a way of embellishing their records or at least making themselves out to be fighting for their constituencies, but in reality they're just manipulating votes for favors or "posture casting" them after the outcome is already determined. That way they can always come home and tell the folks that they fought the good fight and lost.
Word to yo mother:One more thing, scompay was correct in saying healthcare is one of the few thriving sectors with a future. Try to get into that field. Just about everything else has a limited shelf life and will either be outsourced or replaced by software much as accounting has and most of engineering, law, and medicine will be as well, with a functional clerical status nothing more. That goes double for you smug IT & cadcam guys. The clock is also ticking for Devry or Univ. of Phoenix gradjates. Better ADAPT! We're all getting sicker & older. Someone has to operate the euthanasia machines & change the bedpans, er, not necessarily in that order.
