LBJ:
•We were attacked (in the Gulf of Tonkin)

Nixon:
•I am not a crook

GHW Bush:
•Read my lips - No New Taxes

Clinton:
•I did not have sex with that woman... Miss Lewinski

GW Bush:
•Iraq has weapons of mass destruction

Obama:
•I will have the most transparent administration in history.
•The stimulus will fund shovel-ready jobs.
•I am focused like a laser on creating jobs.
•The IRS is not targeting anyone.
•It was a spontaneous riot about a movie.
•If I had a son.
•I will put an end to the type of politics that "breeds division, conflict and cynicism".
•You didn't build that!
•I will restore trust in Government.
•The Cambridge cops acted stupidly.
•The public will have 5 days to look at every bill that lands on my desk.
•It's not my red line - it is the world's red line.
•Whistle blowers will be protected in my administration.
•We got back every dime we used to rescue the banks and auto companies, with interest.
•I am not spying on American citizens.
•Obama Care will be good for America.
•You can keep your family doctor.
•Premiums will be lowered by $2500.
•If you like it, you can keep your current healthcare plan.
•It's just like shopping at Amazon.
•I knew nothing about "Fast and Furious" gunrunning to Mexican drug cartels.
•I knew nothing about IRS targeting conservative groups.
•I knew nothing about what happened in Benghazi.
•I have never known my uncle from Kenya who is in the country illegally and that was arrested and told to leave the country over 20 years ago.
•And, I have never lived with that uncle. He finally admitted (12-05-2013) that he DID know his uncle and that he DID live with him.

And the biggest one of all:
•"I, Barrack Hussein Obama, pledge to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."

I believe we have a winner!

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” - All of them

That is a terrible, awful insult to Obama. He deserves better than that. You could easily have listed twice as many lies.

Well, people forget quickly. The "Read My Lips, No New Taxes", was a Democratic Congress who sent 3 budgets to the White House, and Bush kept sending them back. They finally sent one to twist his arm into signing the budget, raising taxes already in place, but didn't have any "new" taxes, and then the Dems said "AHA !!!"

Typical Democrats . . .

I remember that's when I realized he was a tough talking, saber rattlin', flag waving, prayer in school, pro-life, yada yada yada RINO and liar.
Despite that, I'm ashamed to admit I voted for him twice (lesser of two evils and all that crap) & for his son (only) once.
Obama's certainly off the charts though and the sad part is that most of his constituency would vote for him again and again. The American voter is not much different than his banana republic, purple- inked finger counterpart.

Oh, and one minor point: the first and next-to-last example cost thousands of lives and many more casualties.

Kind of puts things in perspective.

Presuming for the sake of discussion that what you wrote is true... your give him a pass on his breaking his promise and blame the opposing party?

We're lucky we got Obama so the American soldier death count stopped. Also lucky for civilian casualties as well, no more wimmens or chitlens getting droned now.

That must be a great comfort to those who lost loved ones.

Lying is not unique to the president. We all lie to varying degrees every day. Sometimes with very bad and unexpected consequences. Some things that we or the media claim to be presidential lies can be construed as either a no win decision that the president had to make (but not always... Clinton is a prime example of a flat out lie!) Sometimes I think that we except our elected representatives to not be human in their behavior. JMO. fog

We expect them to be exceptional as they should be.
Unfortunately, 9 out of 10 times they turn out to be schlubs with clay feet like the rest of us but with bigger egos.

Most politicians would make good used car salesmen. Why do you think that so many lawyers go into politics?

Don't worry, politicians like lawyers will be extinct some day. These professions who tear at the delicate, inner lining of society will be done in by their own doing.

I don't know Bloody. If there is any truth in social Darwinism, they'll be here a long time comin'.

I would have to disagree with the "we all" in your post. Or maybe this is one of the reasons our society is in such a decline. IMO.
