the governor of arizona has to decide to sign or veto a recent law allowing

religious beliefs to discriminate against gays and lesbians in the public arena

instead of the law being vetoed or passed depending upon fairness or morality,

it will be decided on how it will affect the governor's chances to be reelected.

this is america today it used to be much simpler. "ni**ers and jews keep off the grass."

Be careful using the "N" word, Rick.
You might get hit with a 15 yard penalty.

Can you believe the NFL is actually thinking about instituting this rule next season ?

Believe there is already an existing law that's been on the books for over 15yrs that this new law is in support of. Only thing new here is the media coverage and the LGBT momentum.

If Mr. Gayness really wanted people to think of him as an NFL player.....Not a GAY NfL player......WTF come out and stand on his soapbox and announce it to the World? Agenda agenda agenda

Cuz as far as I'm concerned, the way to silence the critics would have been to have a great combine ( NOT ) get drafted by a team......then tell the World in your loudest voice possible. " I Like Men " but I still Got Game. fog No this guy and his manager are working the whole gay angle to protect him from NOT being hired. JMO

I am really surprised at your absurdity. You have lost the plot.

Jews was a word picked and used by Jews themselves- it signifies the religious denomination. Moreover the chosen ones. Thats why you see Jewish temples and J Date

The N word was not picked by those whom it is bestowed upon and it signifies a lowly being and not religion. Thats why there is no N temple or N date.

I am shaking my head at you. You know better.

He doesnt realize how Racist he is. neither do you.

While this law had absolutely nothing to do with Black people. Every time someone wants to talk about a weird group like dykes, ladyboys and sword swallowers, they leverage the n word for extra ooomph. Its a painful insult beyond comprehension.

In other words we have created a default association of the N word anytime we mention freaks.

No you dont. Wasps cant stand it for a moment if someone even calls them what they are. In other words we have to be politically correct when calling white boys who do it with other white boys. Clearly even the ones who are different want equal treatment. Whereas a person being called the N word is absolutely no different than a normal human being.

So its not about the privilege. The point is that even with the privilege you could never endure for a minute what the Blacks have. You would have grown up to have massive inferiority complex. Look you cant even stand it when a queer is called a queer. You are devastated. So much so that you have to invoke the N word. You cry 'dont mistreat us queers, you may as well put a sign in the yard that says kneegars'. Whoa there...I know why they call you a queer, tell me why anyone should be called a N******r

What makes it more interesting is that a number of high profile companies are threatening to pull out of AZ if it isn't vetoed, as the bill goes against their corporate codes of conduct.

According to some articles, legislators who voted FOR the bill, are requesting the governor veto it... that's a brilliant political move, tell your dumb ass constituency that it "isn't your fault, you tried to get their anti-gay bill passed, you even voted for it", while still keeping your corporate sponsors happy.

Yep precisely the stupidity that has sealed the fate of the republican party. Watch them now become the pro-gay party. Just like they now have more immigrant party leaders in an attempt to get the immigrant vote. They are really pathetic. They are all the things the accused the liberals of. Its all turned around now, liberalism is the new conservative.

Yeah they are trying to play both sides of the fence. But corporations is being forced to distance themselves from the wackos. Just like Apple stopped all advertising on Fox news. They fired the nutjob trying to get apple back, but apple said no way. The republicans are doomed. Between village idiot bush, delusional ******, and then the final nail the tea party, the only hope they have is the simpletons, they are targeting them HARD.

I think there is another financial implication that would damage Arizona's economy. They will take a significant hit to their tourism industry. While I think the numbers are some what subjective the LGBT community is about 4% of the population. I think they will boycott Arizona. Also a certain percentage of the Liberal community will also boycott Arizona. Let's say 6% of the population boycotts Arizona. While it will not effect most of their economy it will directly effect their tourism industry. This is a significant monetary loss.

The fun part is that it's a group with a larger amount of expendable time and money.

The percentage of childless gay couples (or childless gay singles) far outstrips that of the straights. Couple that with a higher individual and household income you're looking at a disproportionate amount of discretionary cash.

It seems to me, though very funny your sense of humor is usually purposely obtuse. I think it would be easy for someone to take your comments literally. By no means does this mean that I agree with anyone else's comments about you. Just wanted to mention the possibility.

Brewha:

Keep in mind, any religion has a right to their beliefs. The issue here as I see it is not so much about religion. It is about the separation of church and state. It is also about human rights within our country. Finally do you really expect any different from Arizona with their views on immigration?

Have tried to use it yet. You will be grossly disappointed to find that food stamps and obamacare is not accepted in 99% of the places that take American Express.

Trying buying cigars with it. You will find the only way to get free cigars is to be a troop overseas.

Right, those folks Arizona are a real prize. But this law is nothing more than allowing hate and hate crimes by crying religious rights. Think they would back it if a mooslum put up a sigh in this store saying "we don't serve Christians here"?

The people behind this are some hating fools . . .
And no, they do not have a right to it.

Precisely, the pittance we hand the peasants is merely to keep them at bay while we enjoy our dividends. And we pay half the taxes on our dividends. Bottoms up Froggie.

I've always viewed food stamps as part of the "cost of doing business". Hungry people revolt, kill the upper class (and middle class sometimes), and overthrow governments. People with full bellies watch "The Bachelor" and "American Idol" and just grumble a little bit.
